Blowing Birthday Wishes

Good afternoon. I hope your day is going well.  I just finished up a card to put over on  The Paper Players sketch challenge. Birthday cards seem to always be needed, if not only for my large wonderful family but for Scrapbooks.com Cards for Kindness initiative.

I had just received MFT's Birthday Brights 6x6 Paper Pad and knew I wanted to use the candle design with my MFT's Make a Wish stamp and die-namics set. As per usual for me in the recent few years, I've kept the design fairly simple. I used SU card stock for the bottom layers and the candles and mounted that onto a piece of Neenah White 110# base.

That will be it for today. I've considered doing more of a purge in my attic, but making another project is calling my name!

Have a blessed day!

Not Older, Just Better

I'm posting a card that I just finished up to link over at CAS Colours&Sketches colour challenge for this week and Seize the Birthday Anything Goes.

I had just received my order from MFT and wanted to use this new set, Pumped Up Numbers on a Birthday card. I had also bought a 6x6 Paper Pad from MFT, Stripe Splash. I just love the colors in this pad and who doesn't love stripes.

I did use an embossing folder on the white panel, Neenah White #110 for the base, SU Card Stock to cut the numbers in the colours selected for this challenge. The sentiment is MFT's Bitty Birthday Wishes. That was about it. Clean, simple, and easy to create.

That is it for this evening. I hope you have a wonderful week and are able to stay crafty.

Blessings, Bernadette

My card size of choice is the Mini Slimeline which is only the second one I have made. I have truely fallen in love with this size!

That will be it for the evening. I hope to pop on again in a couple of days using some
new stamps that will be arriving from MFT tomorrow.

Thank You

Just a quick drop by today. I had just gotten a new Mini Stamp, Winsome Bloom by Altenew. My Sunday was busy so I created this card today. I'm just a few hours under the wire to post this over at CAS C&S challenge but thought this stamp would be perfect for the sketch. I hesitated some on trying a Mini Slim Card as the challenge. I know they have been very popular for quite some time, but I actually never took a liking to them until after today. I definitely will be making the mini size more often. Now on to making the envelope to fit it.

PRODUCTS:
Stamps: Altenew Winsome Bloom, SU Sweet Icecream for the Thank You
Paper: SU Highland Heather, Black, the B&W paper is also SU
Colored flowers: painted using Pretty Excellent watercolors

Sending You Strength

Happy Saturday! Today I am linking a card over on the Freshly Made Sketches blog challenge. I really liked the layout. I had already put this paper aside to use for a card for my cousin and felt it worked perfectly with the sketch. She just was diagnosed with uterine cancer and wanted to send some love and encouragement her way.

I chose the MFT Brilliant Butterflies Stamp and Dies stamped in AltenewPink Diamond & Frayed Leaf. I used StazOn Jet black ink for the extra wings and the sentiment. The sentiment is from MFTS's Deepest Sympathy and cut it with one of the smaller labels from SU's Stitched Nested Labels Dies.

That will be all for today. I'm going to do some more sorting and purging. There seems to never be an end to that chore! I hope you have a restful weekend.

Blessings, Bernadette

Thanks For All You Do

Hello all. I'm on here today to link a card over at The Card Concept 155 challenge. The sketch sparked my interest because of the Bee Hive and the Yellow flowers. I love working with anything that includes Bees and that's what certainly drew me to enter the challenge. My friends and family refer to me as Bernie Bee or Queen Bee and I have a Boyd Bears collection in Bee attire. I also love yellow flowers and the yellow and black combo.

PRODUCTS USED:
Stamps: SU Honey Bee w/matching small die, MFT Bitty Thanks & Gratitude, Altenew Mini Daisy
Paper: SU Basic White, Black and So Saffron Card Stock
Ink: SU So Saffron, Old Olive which was added to the flowers and bee using a water pen. The image was stamped with Stazon' Black

That will be all for today. I'm off to create a card for one of my family members who just had a negative health report 3 days ago. Stay safe and well and enjoy your day!

Blessings, Bernadette

Thanks A Bunch

Just a quick drop by today. Last week and this past weekend have been busier than usual. Today I took a breathe and created a CAS card for my daughter who made me a complete Mother's Day meal yesterday. She did a fantastic job! Thanks, Adrienne.

I chose to link this card over at CAS C&S challenge which this week was a color challenge. I incorporated two stamp sets and the 3 colors that were used for the challenge. I cut two of the honeycomb dies, one in Basic Gray and one in Smokey Slate both being cut from SU CS. I inlaid some of the pieces from the Smokey Slate with pieces from the Basic Grey cut.

PRODUCTS:
Stamp Sets: MFT Bitty Thanks and Gratitude, Altenew Mini Delight: Bee Kind, SU Honey Bee die, MFT Distressed Patterns

That is for today. I need to clean up my craft desk and get to sorting paper and purging. I tend to think of all the projects on my TO DO list and get overwhelmed. I was good for a while, then fell off the purging wagon! One project at a time usually gets the projects done. So am on that road this week. We will see how it goes!

Have a great Monday.

Blessings, Bernadette
