Well I finished putting together my cards several days ago, but a stomach bug decided it wanted to ruin the plan to assembly them. They are finished now and I am addressing them today to mail out tomorrow.
I was only able to get to the USPS yesterday to pick up stamps. We had about 4 inches of snow on Monday so things were closed down. It doesn't sound a lot to some, but here in the South, with not much snow removal equipment, it makes a difference in clearing it from the roads. I believe some counties are still closed. They did receive more then we did here in Clayton, but the snow melted on the roads last evening, but the below freezing temps are played havoc and caused Black Ice to form.
Here the finished card. I used the Filled With Joy card kit by MFT with the included stamp set and dies and their Stitched die-namics, the Softly Falling embossing folder by SU, Neenah 80lb. paper, SU Real Red card stock, stash Glimmer Paper, SU Real Red ink, and , SU Metallic Pearls. I was going to add the pearls to the star shapes, but decided against it. They don't seem to make it through the mail unless you put an extra piece of card stock over them. I just was concerned about adding weight to the card = more postage.
For the inside sentiment I put into service a retired SU stamp set, More Merry Messages.
I hope you are moving along with your Christmas preperations and have a blessed day today. Now, go do something you LOVE!
