Is TNT Thursday back?

Unfortunately, not yet.

I was hoping to be back doing the TNT projects way before now, but that has not happened. Hopefully, by November they will be up again.
Consider this a TNT even though it's Saturday!

I am also considering doing a post on Quick and Easy cards for ,
" I haven't got a lot of time to create" stampers.
That's still in the formative stages as I'm gathering projects to post.
So stay tuned

But today I have a quick and simple little project that's been rolling around in my head all this week since I had been working with the Harvest of Thanks stamps.

This little pocket is a simple "Diaper Fold" that has been around for a number of years.
I thought how cute would these be lying on a napkin on a plate for Thanksgiving used as a place setting for each person attending your holiday celebration.

This certainly could be made with any DSP for any celebration.
Think Christmas, New Years, Easter, etc.

I have seen these so they can stand by dimpling the bottom, but I wanted them to just lay on the plate.

Below will be photos of the process

Sweater Weather DSP cut at 6X6 (you can make these larger if you care to)

The DSP is folded in a diamond shape.
Point to point making sure you have the design that you want is on the outside.

Take one side of the opened end and fold down leaving a about 3/16 of an inch from the bottom fold.

Using the folded line from the top triangle, fold the right and left side
of the paper to the center and crease.

There is NO GLUE needed for this project.

This is ow it should look when completely folded.

I stamped the turkey image from the Harvest of Thanks in Crushed Curry then punched just the turkey out using my 1 3/4" Circle Punch.  I completed the project by writing a guests name on Pumpkin Pie CS. I chose to use the flag die from Circle Card Thinlits.

I added glue dots to the flag and Stampin' Dimensionals to the image
and positioned them on the pocket.

I didn't have any trail mix to add to my SU 4X6 Cellophane Bag,
but I did have some Almonds and some dried cranberries! I closed the
bag  with a piece of Linen Thread since I am short on ribbon
that would match in my ribbon stash.

I think a piece of matching ribbon would have made it really pop.
Oh well, that's on the next order!

I hope you give these a try. They really are so quick and would add
a little WOW to your holiday table.

Have a wonderful weekend and make something CRAFTY!

Two New Challenges

I was going to wait to post this card, but decided against it since I am working
on some other projects and didn't want to miss the deadline on these.

I came across Fab Friday and loved the sketch.  I immediately had a stamp set in mind.
I have looked at the colourQ  site several times in the past, but had not entered any challenges,
I don't believe on that site either.  Today was the day!

Here is my finished  card

Here is the sketch from Fab Friday that I followed.

And the colors from colourQ that we were to use.

I had the papers, but I didn't have the Night of Navy ink
for some unknown reason. I substituted it with, Not Quite Navy.

The cardstock is all from SU and so are the ink colors. I used the
Flower Shop set #130492 and punched
each flower out with the new Pansy punch #130698.

The Perfectly Penned #122892 sentiment finished off the card.
*the large pearl are from an unknown source*

Have a great evening and look for my post tomorrow morning on a cutte little project for the Thanksgiving holiday!

Stay CRAFTY

Gratitude

Today is my last of the Harvest of Thanks cards. I have really enjoyed working with this set and will probably use it to make my Thanksgiving cards this year.

I had created a card yesterday, but struggled with the design layout and pattern selection.  I was going to remake it, but decided I would just leave it until morning.  Well morning came and I was still not pleased with it. So you might have guessed, it made it's way to the trash bin! Thus a late post!

I was up early to start again. I perused some sketches on line choose this one.  It is an earlier OWH 146 sketch, but I flipped it and used a different image shape. Finally, I was pleased with the outcome.

I used the Sweater Weather DSP again. I paired it with Soft Suede CS and ink, Crushed Curry CS and ink, and Very Vanilla for the main card.

I used the Deco Labels framelits #130102 for the first time on this card to highlight the turkey image. You can, of course, not do this extra step, but it does add interest to the card layout.

Also used was the Naturals Designer Buttons, Linen Thread, Square Lattice folder, and the Bitty Banners die cuts.

The envelope was made using the Envelope Punch board, did I tell you I love this new tool! I think I did. :>}

I finished it off this time by cutting a 4x4 piece of coordinating card stock.
Folded it in half, punched the end with using the EPB ,
glued one half with SNAIL. That was it!

I hope you enjoyed seeing ways on how to use this stamp set and DSP.
I would love for you to drop me a line and let me know what you think.

MAke it a great day and stay CRAFTY!

Harvest of Blessings

Today I am posting another card using Harvest of Thanks #131739.

I used the MOJO Monday 311 sketch, just flipping it.

I used the Sweater Weather DSP again and made a matching envelope from the Crushed Curry CS using the Envelope Punch Board.

The base of the card is Very Vanilla and I accented it with Soft Suede paper and stamped the image in Soft Suede ink. The corn was highlighted using Crushed Curry ink applied with a Blender Pen.

I cut out the sentiment with  a Apothecary Accents framlits that I used on yesterdays card. Just stamp, run through the Big Shot or other die cutting machine, and done! No fussy cutting. Love it!

I finished the card using the Square Envelop Lattice folder, Circle Punch, Ticket Punch (retired) , Adorning Accents edgelits, some cute little Candy Dots and Very Vanilla Ribbon Seam Binding. Finished...

Make it a great day and do something CRAFTY!

Thanks

Happy Monday everyone!

I am so pleased to be posting a card today. The weekend was full of some ministry opportunities and pressing and hanging drapes and pictures in our new home.  Of course, my husband mentioned it was about time!

I wasn't sure I was going to be able to create, but managed to fit it in. My card layout was inspired by an older MOJO Monday sketch, MOJO 248

I hadn't used my new stamp set, Harvest of Thanks #131739 and
it seems I always need a thank you card. I will be creating two
more cards from this set, so be sure to stop back.

I used Sweater Weather # 132184 DSP, Chocolate Chip CS, and Tangerine Tango CS . I thought they would be perfect for a Thanksgiving thank you. I stamped on Very Vanilla with Tangerine Tango ink. I then used the framelit that matched the stamp from Apothecary Accents #127003.

To complete the card, I added Candy dots to the Large Scallop die cut, Natural Trim Ribbon and embossed the solid piece of Chocolate Chip with the Perfect Polka dots folder to give it a little interest.

I hope you stop by again this week. Make your day great and stay
CRAFTY!
