Masculine Birthday Card

I posted this card over at Stampin' Connection and Linda Heller's Freebie Friday FB page and decided to post it here on my blog also.

I used the MOJO Monday 309 sketch from this past Monday and paired it up with the new SU Sweater Weather DSP - 132184 and used the new Wetlands stamp set - 126697.

Since this is a card for a certain young man in my family who is having a birthday, a matching envelope was in order. I'm just loving the NEW Envelope Punch Board - 133774.  As I mentioned in an earlier post, it's so easy to use and you can create 66 different size envelopes!

Studio B Tour

Well today is the day to debut my STUDIO B.  I tried several times to video tape this space, but things just didn't seem to come together. Videos will have to be another time and on another project.  I hope the pictures won't bore you!

The  photo above is walking into my Studio from off my hallway. It it is only an 11 X 9 1/2 foot space. Not large, but bright and organized. Just a tad more space then I had in my Motorhome. :>}

This is looking straight on at the Ikea book case/workspace. Actually, almost all of the furniture in this room is from Ikea. It's my go-to place to shop for organizational products.

I just love the size of the work area and yet, at times it still doesn't seem like enough.  I added 4 drawers to the unit which have proven very useful.  I'm not really a big fan of open shelving, but if it's not out, it will not get used. So it serves two purposes, storage and "use that" stuff incentive.
The baskets hold embellishments, glue dots, candy dots, pearls, ribbon, stamping blocks, envies, etc.  I put my heat gun in a wire mesh cup to keep it out an accessible.

The pictures below are just some things that are hidden away in the drawers. The one drawer that I didn't take a picture of holds my cords for my camera, phone and other electronics.

 Stamps, retired stamps and punches

SU Score board, New SU Envelope Punch Board, Paper Cutter, small punches and other necessary crafting tools.

This wall is across from the desk. I bought the 3 drawer chest, not only to add some height to cut and use my SU Big Shot, but it also provides me with extra storage. Did you notice the little white mirrored frames? I found those at Target and just had to have them in this room.
Can I say, MOSAIC...

The rolling cart next to the chest is from Micheals which I bought several years ago.  It houses buttons, stamp pads, retired SU DSP, non SU paper and various sundry supplies.

This is the top drawer. Extra plates, Bigz dies, Cricut paraphernalia  and such.  The drawer below just has some journal supplies and Zutter supplies.  The bottom holds Chipboard and chipboard shapes.

The Ikea Mag Holders hold Avery supplies, project ideas, and catalogs.  I also have my SU Framelits, Edgelits and Embossing Folders. Behind the door holds my Glue Gun, Xyron cartridges, and miscellaneous crafting tools.

The large baskets on the bottom of the shelf hold mailing supplies and 3 ring binders with various Crafting information that I've gathered the past several years. The 3 tiered shelf is not Ikea. That was an online purchase from Amazon several years ago. It houses my printer, printer supplies, Cricut Expression and the fabric baskets hold unopened supplies which I plan on using as Hostess gifts and Freebies.

I fell in love with this cute Owl picture and it's advice. I knew it needed to be placed across from were I sit at the desk to remind me Forgive, Love generously and to do what makes me SMILE!
Through my shopping adventures, I found the green Owl Vase and knew it needed to be added to the space, also.

The only closet in the room houses some crafting supplies, but it is used mostly for household storage.

I was able to find this cute window valance at Lowes.

At the suggestion of several crafter's, this rolling cart from Office Max, is the perfect solution to store my current paper.  It slides under my desk when not in use. The two drawers on the bottom hold my new DSP, whisper white/very vanilla card stock. The brown rug to the left is a mat my sweet Chloe lays on when I'm working in here. She's never to far from her "Mom". Now if I could just teach her to clean up after me when I'm finished crafting!

Miss Chloe

That's it! I hope you have enjoyed the picture tour and have been inspired by some of my storage ideas. I would love hear what you think of my new space.
Have a wonderful day and weekend.

And as always,
stay CRAFTY!

Happy Birthday and New Thinlits Circle Card

Today I am going to share a card that I made for my husbands birthday on Friday. I had just received the NEW Thinlits Circle Card Die (133480) in the mail on Tuesday and just had to give it a try.

Oh, what FUN!  I know I will be using this quite frequently.
I can see using this to mass produce Holiday cards. What about you?

The die does all the work, but selecting the color card stock and sentiment. :) You just cut a piece of card stock 5 1/2" x 6, lay it on your magnetic plate like I did, crank the handle, fold it on the score line after it's run through AND it's DONE. Honestly , that's it! You have this great interactive card that would have taken at least 10 minutes to make and that wouldn't include embellishing it.

I used the Label of Love stamps set - 130622, the Mosaic Madness stamp set - 130249, the Mosiac Punch - 131267, and the Quatrefancy Specialty DSP-  130141
Itty Bitty Punch Pack
Circles #2 Originals
Candy Dots- Neutrals
Pumpkin Pie Ink
Early Espresso Ink

Here is the Framelits Thinlit Die in action.

I ordered the Thinlits Circle Card Die that used to make my hubby's card. Both sets will add less stress and hours of card making fun. As you can see by the picture below, each set comes with extra dies. You will be able to use these on any card. The new dies are, in my opinion, certainly a bargain. And who doesn't like a bargain? It looks like next months SU order will be including the  Label Card Thinlits for me. How about you?

Label Card Thinlits Die (item 133479) - $32.95

It will take you directly to my DBWS.  Just enter the numbers above for one or both of the sets, choose me as your demonstrator. These great dies will be delivered right to your door by one of those cute UPS guys!

As always if you have any questions, your can reply here or contact me at bernadettebliss@gmail.com. I'll get back to you as soon as I can.

Have a great and CRAFTY week.
