Today I finished up a special card for a special little grandson of mine. Although I already had one made, I wanted to give one that incorporated an ATV. We go to Bass Pro Shop every few weeks and he loves to hop on the display ATVs and plays pretend. I probably could have made him one with fishing gear also. He loves looking at the rods, reels and fishing lures.
I quickly found an image on my Cricut Design Space and went right to work cutting it out on my Cricut Explore Air. I so much appreciate that machine and all that I can do with it. Although, I have only touched the surface of the crafts that can be done. The card itself was easy to put together. I did cut out the 5 since it is his 5th. birthday. The hardest part was picking an appropriate background paper and choosing coordinating solid card stock.
The papers were in my stash and I believe it is all retired, but not all SU. I did use the new SU Punch, Tailored Tag Punch, which I love. I did buy the suite, but forgot to add the DSP to the order! That will be coming in shortly so I can get started making some cards for the gentlemen in my family.
Most of the area is pretty much closed down. We only had about 2 inches here in Clayton. Just enough to make the roads ugly, though. I will play for awhile with paper, stamps, and ink and see what I come up with.
Have a wonderful Friday,
Bernie B
