The Lord is God

This is just a quick post today. I wanted to play along again this week with the Word Art Wednesday challenge and put this card together late last night.

 For the base of the card I used Pistachio Pudding. I just love it. It's such a  soft and soothing shade of green. I pulled the colors from the Birthday Basics DSP #130145, Summer Starfruit and Crisp Cantaloupe to tie things together. As you can see from the photo, I added some texture by using the Delicate Designs #127023 embossing edge folder along the bottom of the card front.

The flowers are from the Flower Shop #130942 set and punched with the Pansy punch. That set is so nice. Six very distinct flower designs to mix and match or use alone.

A little bit of Summer Starfruit Stitched Satin Ribbon, which was my last little bit,

 and Rhinestone Basic Jewels along the scallops.

Manly Card

Yesterday I decided to play along with Retro Sketches challenge rs#82. I was  going to enter this into the ColourQ challenge also, but they had black, white and a pop of color as their color choices. I used Very Vanilla which coordinates with the background in the Modern Medley DSP. My pop of color

 was the very pretty Coastal Cabana.

I used the Wetlands #126697 image and sentiment, but only heat embossed  the shore birds with Black Stampin' Emboss powder. 

The sentiment was inked in Coastal Cabana and cut with the Framelits- Oval Collection #129381. With the addition of a few Black Candy Dots and some Stampin' Dimensionals my card was complete.

Happy Day and MOJO312

Good Morning! Last night I worked on the new Mojo sketch for this week, MOJO312.  It went together fairly quickly, but I'm not that happy with the quality of the photo.  I'm thinking that I need to learn about F stops and just learn overall how to take better indoor shots.

The colors used on this card were, Smokey Slate CS, oh, how I love this grey. 

I also used Whisper White CS and Blushing Bride CS. 

This color is such a soft, pretty pink, but the photo does not do it justice.

The DSP is from the Eastern Elegance collection and still one of my favorites.

 I finished the card off by using the medallion and sentiment from Happy Day.

Extras: Pearl Basic Jewels, SU Whisper White Bakers twine,

  retired SU button and Nestabilities banner die.

Psalm 91:2

I had a chance today to sit down and play with some paper.

I had recently seen this Freshly Made 104 sketch and decided that it would

 be perfect to use with the Word Art Wednesday challenge.

The color combination for the card was inspired by the Eastern Elegance DSP by SU. It was paired with Coastal Cabana CS, 

Calypso Coral CS, and Whisper White CS.

I used the free scripture word art over on Word Art Wednesday for the sentiment. Such a wonderful verse about God's protection. 

I stamped one of the flowers from Flower Shop in Calypso Coral ink, then sprinkled it with SU Clear Embossing power. With the addition of some two way glue, SU's Dazzling Diamonds was added for a little sparkle. The Calypso Coral candy dots finished off the bottom of the banner.
