Child's Thanksgiving Card/MOJO#416

Today I am posting a sample of a card that I will be sending to 8 of my 11 grandchildren. I saw the MOJO#416 sketch and knew it would be perfect for the little squirrel I would be using almost immediately. I just love when that happens!

That little guy was cut by my Cricut Explore. He was a liitle bit of work only because he is layered, but I love they way he came out. I "blushed " his cheeks with chalk, filled his eyes and nose with Crystal Effects and used lots of SU dimensionals to have him pop off the middle circle. I used the retired Bigz die, Autumn Accents, for the acorn. I hope my GC enjoy getting this card with a little Thanksgiving cash tucked in.

Thanks for stopping by and make it a wonderful and CRAFTY Friday!

Friends/Share the Joy challenge

Today's card is using the sketch and Tic,Tac,Toe challenge over at Taylored Expressions. This proved to be a little more of a challenge for me then I anticipated, but I stuck to it.  I'm fairly happy with results.  The heavy twine is still in question and I couldn't get a decent picture of the whole card.  It looks blurry and I'm not sure why. I did adjust the levels, took several shots, but I guess  I didn't do enough. What do you think?

Thanks for stopping by and make sure you stop by Share the Joy Blog to get some great inspiration.

Make it a great Tuesday and go do something CRAFTY!

Hugs,
BernieBee

Thanks so Much/ Cricut Design Space

Saturday I had the opportunity to work in my Studio. That doesn't happen all that often , but I had a card design rolling around in my head. I'm not sure how your creative process works, I just knew I had to create the card before I lost my mojo or got involved with something else.

Since we are almost into Fall, and there seems to be quite a few projects involving acorns, I decided to try my hand at putting a card together that incorporated one.  I have one SU stamp set that has an acorn or acorns, but it doesn't have a matching die. Oh, I know, I could have fussy cute a simple acorn. I'm just not great at doing it.

So I opened my Cricut Design Space, fired up my Cricut Explore Air, typed in acorn, and had many images to choose from.  The the acorn on the card was from the Bits and Pieces cartridge.  I combined that with SU English Garden DSP, SU card stock and the Labels Collection framelits. I also pulled out a very neglected stamp set with matching die by Taylored Expressions, It's a Banner Day 1. I'm not sure why I haven't used this stamp and die in so longI do love how this card came out and I'm anxious to send it along to someone soon.

I hope you make it a wonderful Monday and are able to do something CRAFTY!
