Baby Card

I thought I might not have a chance to upload and post this before the deadline for MOJO 306, but I managed to squeeze some time in today.

This Baby card came together fairly quickly.
I saw the sketch, had Gingham Garden DSP lying on my studio desk,
and as they say, the rest is history!

I did struggle with adding the Daffodil Delight circle and the Polka Dot Parade DSP, but I feel it really added the pop needed for the card.

There is a tiny bit of the Daffodil Delight in the small flowered background paper, so I assumed I wasn't completely off base.

The sentiment is from One in a Million which also had an appropriate inside sentiment. This has been my most recent "go to" stamp set. There are great  sayings included in this set of 10 stamps.

For Someone Very Special

Today I am posting a card using the larger stamp from Chalk Talk and the Birthday Basics DSP and is being used as a Birthday card.

I pulled the colors out from the paper, and honestly, it did stretch me some. I tend to stick to more subdued colors or more monochromatic color scheme. I have done cards in the past few months with more color and they have received positive reviews, but I'm still not that comfortable with them. What is your opinion on this color combination,
Raspberry Ripple, Bermuda Bay, and Pink Pirouette?

I did use the new Envelope Liners Framelit, which I love. I think it just adds that little special touch when you are taking the time making a handmade card.

Candy Dots
Perfect Polka Dots Folder
Chevron Folder

Raspberry Ripple 3/8" Stitched Satin Ribbon

Have a great Friday, great weekend and stay CRAFTY!

Some Quick Fall Cards

I realized yesterday that I had posted these cards over on my FB page and Stamping  School FB, but not here on my blog. They were both quick to put together. I hope you will give them a try.

If you would like the measurements create them, just contact me here in the comments section and I'll be glad to pass them along.

Since I had not ordered any Fall DSP from SU yet, I dug into my newer DSP and found that Gingham Garden offered some good choices to do Fall inspired cards. I had a choice of several stamps, but just had received Lovely as a Tree and it needed to get inked up.

The card with the line of trees was stamped in Baked Brown Sugar and highlighted by using Olive Green and Pumpkin Pie ink and then pouncing
on various spots with a SU dauber.

I used the "rock and roll" technique on the leaves
using Baked Brown Sugar and Old Olive.

Thank You so Much

I'm back again today with another card using Eastern Elegance DSP. The color combo on this card incorporates the new color,
Slate Gray and Coastal Cabana.

I used the new stamp set, Lots of Thanks which includes 9 thank you sentiments. I don't know about you, but it seems between Birthday cards and thank you cards, I never seem to have enough.
