You're How Old?

 

I have been working on several cards this week, but just finished this particular one yesterday. I selected to post one that I am sending to my 14-year-old Granddaughter whose birthday is this week. It's hard to believe she is 14 thus the sentiment on the card. Using the CAS C&S sketch challenge for this week helped me quickly put this one together. The harder part was deciding on colours. I knew I wanted to use MFT Sensational Stitched Blooms and had to find what floral dies in the set would allow me to use 4 in a row as the sketch showed. I keep it monochromatic using SU Gingham Gala 6x6 DSP and Grapefruit  Grove CS which matched the gingham paper. The sentiment is by MFT Bitty Birthday Wishes stamped in Versafine Black ink. The black dots are from SU.

This will be all for today. We have family coming over for dinner and I still have to clean up a very messy craft desk!

I'm posting a card that I made this morning using Altenews Mini Delight: Tiny Foliage with matching dies. I'll be linking this over on two challenges, Freshly Made Sketches 497 and CAS Colours and Setches #431. There were very few products used on this card which made easy to be put together. The sketch and colors certainly helped!

Tonight I'm posting a card that I put together earlier this afternoon to link over at the TGIF Challenge. Since birthday cards are always needed, I chose to create another card for my stash. 

I haven't made a Banner card in a very long time. It seems like it's not even under my radar. This was the perfect opportunity to pull out some older punches, dies, and stamps and to create this particular one.

Bring on the Balloons

Today's card is one I created for 2 challenges. Cupcake Inspiration #524 and Freshly Made Sketches 496. Since I do have a granddaughter who is turning 8 in October, and I'm planning on using the card I just created.  Between the FM Sketch and the Cupcake Inspiration, I found that it went together fairly quickly, but that will be it for today. This afternoon I'm planning to look over several blog challenges and to get some more inspiration and a head start on the week ahead.
