Sincere Thanks

Just jumping on here late tonight with a card that I will be linking for the weekly challenge over at CAS C&S. I used Altenews Striped Florals Stamp Set to incorporate the colors for the challenge. The flowers were stamped on watercolor paper and colored with SU Stampin Write markers and Gina K Peach Bellini ink. I finished the flowers and leaves with Wink of Stella to add more brightness to the color of the florals. To finish the card I chose a sentiment from MFT's Bitty Thanks and Gratitude.

That is it for tonight. I have family coming in for the Easter holiday tonight so
I need to get off to be able to greet them.

Have a Blessed and Happy Easter

Best Wishes

I'm here today posting a card I made to link over at the CAS C&S challenge. I wanted to use this cute little Bee from  Altenews Mini Die: Bee Kind. Although I considered several different colors to use with the Bee I decided on a black and white combination.

I used Neenah Solar White#110 for the base, MFT Road Trippin paper 6x6 for the strips, and the sentiment is from MFT Happy Hummingbirds. The added color on the Bee was stamped with Tim Holtz Distress in, Scattered Straw. This bee was very user-friendly. It stamped well, lined up with the body and the die very easily.

That's it for this card. I plan on making a card using an MFT Stamp and Die-namic that I haven't used. Actually, I have several of those!

Have a wonderful day and stay well.

SMILE

Popping on today with a card that I made to link over at the CAS C&S challenge. I had just received my Altenew Mini Delight: Smile Blooms and Die Set. I love the little double-stamped flower in this new set and thought I would use it for my card. I was a little stumped with how I was going to use the stamp since I only had the Mango Melody paper but not the matching ink. I over at the links from previous CAS sketches posted on their blog to see if something would work and chose this sketch from July 2019. I feel it worked perfectly for what I needed.

The paper, inks, and embossing folder are SU. I stamped the sentiment and flower center with Versafine Onyx Black ink for the sentiment and the flower center. I really like using this ink for sentiments, it produces a crisp image or sentiment. I recently ordered some online from Amazon and was looking through reviews. I'm really glad I did. I came away with a great tip from several people. They had bought the mini cube with a refill. It has been a game-changer for me. It is so much easier to hold the cube instead of the larger pad when stamping. No going back at this point!

That's it for today. I've been sorting, purging, and organizing my craft supplies over the past several weeks. I wish I could say I was done but I am not. So, it's back to doing that a little more today.

Have a great week!

Showered With Love

Hi all. I'm here posting a Bridal Shower card. I don't know the last time I even made one! I chose to use the sketch over at CAS C&S to put this together. I chose the Pink and Grey color theme hoping it will seem modern and fresh and fit the sketch. I debated about adding some flowers to the umbrella but decided against it. It seemed to me that it would too busy.

I used the SU stamp set, Under My Umbrella which I borrowed from my demonstrator. The foundation base is Neenah Solar White#80, SU Blushing Bride, and a DSP by SU which I don't recall the name. I also used the sentiment from the set and cut it out with the SU Stitched Shapes Framelits.

That will be all for today. I have a very messy craft area to tidy up before I lose any stamps.
Have a good weekend and I hope you are able to enjoy some crafty time!

Boys Will Be Boys Birthday Card

I am here today posting a card that I have made for my grandson who lives in Maine. He is a big fan of LEGOS and I still had an older stamp set from SU Boys Will Be Boys. I will be linking this over on Seize the Birthday although this is just a card without the toppings.

I did use SU Lucky Lime Twist for the frame, Crushed Olive Distress ink for the Legos, and also use Distress Oxide Mustard Seed and Spiced Marmalade Distress ink to color in the Robot. The balloons were from MFT Better Together using the stamp and matching die.

That will be it for this post. I'm headed over to CAS C& S to post a card I made
for a Bridal Shower, I am going to tomorrow afternoon.

Have a safe and enjoyable weekend.

Masculine Happy Birthday

I just a quick drop-in today. I just finished up a card that I will be putting over on two challenges, Freshly Made Sketches and Seize the Birthday. I decided that I would use this as a Masculine card even though it has some BLING on it. I always need more masculine Birthday Cards in my Birthday Box.

I used the three shades of Green using 3 SU papers, Kraft paper was used for the background which  I used the SU 3D Textured EF to give the paper some interest. The rectangles were layered onto an old heavy, off-white speckled SU paper. Sorry, but I can't remember the name of the product.
The remainder of the products used will be in the sidebar of the post.

Have a great rest of the day! Stay Well and Stay Healthy.

Happiest of Birthdays To You

Good Morning. Today I am posting another Birthday card to add to my Birthday Card box. I chose to use CAS Colours & Sketches colour challenge for the week. I have been pushing myself out of the box with colour challenges. I tend to get anxious trying to come up with a design using different colours, but I have found it helpful to use a Colour Wheel when I'm not doing a challenge.

I chose to use the flowers from the MFT Fun Flower set, coloring them in with SU Calypso Coral and Terracotta Tile. I just stamped the leaves from SU Granny Apple Green paper since I did not have that ink. The stitched square that highlights the flowers was done using my Gel Press. I stamped my Calypso Coral straight to the pad then ran my brayer about five X's over it then pressed the paper onto it. I am happy with the color and smoothness it produced. I haven't used this technique much but will be experimenting more. Using a SU embossing folder after assembling the flowers I put it on my card base.

That is it for today. We have another beautiful sunny day, but only in the high 40's.
I'm so ready for Spring weather to show up!

Stay Safe and Well
Blessings, Bernadette
