Sweet Birthday Wishes

 I'm finally back to a little bit of card-making. It really has been a struggle. Since I wanted to make a card for my granddaughter who will be 7 next Wednesday it pushed me to be a little creative. I looked at some Pinterest Ice Cream cone cards because I did know they were the images I wanted to use. I came across this card by Julie Petrie which inspired me.

I will not be going posting any products colors but I will mention the following:

Happy Beary Birthday

 Just popping in tonight with a Birthday card I made for my grandson who will be 3 on Tuesday. As I was looking through my stamps I came across a stamp set from MFT and fell in love with one of the Bears and sentiment.

Monochromatic Happy Birthday

 Good afternoon. I am here today posting a birthday card to link over on Seize the Birthday. I chose to do the Toppings option, Stripes this time around. I went from a very bright card that I posted several days ago, to a very subdued one today. I'm not sure why I decided to do a monochromatic color scheme but am was pleased with my choices of colors. SU Blackberry Bliss, Fresh Fig, and Distress Oxide ink, Dusty Concord by Tim Holtz. The floral image is from SU's Flowing Flower which I just received last week and hadn't inked up yet. Happy Birthday from that stamp set I used VersaMark and WOW! Metallic Gold and heat embossed it. It was then cut with MFT's Stitched Fishtail Die-namic. Those cute little Brushed Brass Butterflies are by SU.

That will be all for this afternoon. I'll be heading out to my daughter's home in a few hours. My family has decided I needed a Birthday Party. It should be fun if I know my kids!

To a dear friend

Just a quick sign-on today. I just finished a card that I will be sharing over on CAS C& S #463 challenge for this week.  I didn't have much of an idea what sentiment to use, but after I put the card together I just knew I had a friend who would love the color combo.

**I embossed the flower with Gina K Fine Detail Black EP then colored the image I had stamped and embossed it.

Hooray! It's your Birthday

 I just finished up a card last night that I will be posting over for the CAS On Friday challenge.

I broke out my Altenew Mini Delight: Crystal Lotus stamp/die and chose to use Altnew Crisp Dye Ink: Iceberg and Ultramarine for the layering. The Yellow Paper from the Lawn fawn Watercolor Wishes pack. I glued the flowers on the stitched squares by SU. The Hooray! is from  Stamp'n Ups Message Die using one of the coordinating stamp sets. The white background is a retired SU EF. Honestly, this card went together quite quickly. It will be a design I will be using again.

Best Wishes Birthday Card

 Hello all. Just on here today to post a card that I created for the Flower Challenge blog. We were to use Scraps and of course, Flowers. 

For the Scraps, I used a sentiment I had put in my stash for another card but used it here. The sentiment is from MFT Happy Hummingbirds. The Pink background was another scrap using Lawn fawns, Water Color Wishes cut with MFT Stitched Mini Scallop Rectangle STAX. Having hung onto these scraps and many more, makes cards go together quickly.

The papers used are from SU: Melon Mambo and Polished Pink. I was happy that the colors matched my scrap from Lawn fawn. The Tulips and their leaves are from SU Flowering Tulips bundle. I do love tulips and love this stamp and die set. There are so many beautiful examples on Pinterest and I tried to make this one my own even though I had gotten inspiration from the many bloggers who posted theirs.
