Masculine Birthday Card

Just dropping by this afternoon with a card I created for one of my sons-in-law who is having a birthday next month. He is a no-frills kind of guy, so this sketch works well plus I keep it monochromatic which will fit his taste.

I'm linking this over at CAS(E) this Sketch where I had gotten my inspiration. I was helped along to get out of my creative box by using this SU DSP, In Good Taste. It has been picked up and put down many times. LeAnn Pugliese who created a beautiful card using this paper encouraged me to give it a try. I am happy the way it came together, although it's a pretty clean and simple compared to Leanne's.

PRODUCTS USED:

SU Basic Grey, Grey Granite CS, In Good Taste DSP
MFT Essential Sentiments, MFT A2 Rectangle Stax Die
Gina K Fine Black Embossing Powder for the sentiment

I'm off to clean up my crafting space then on to cooking dinner.  I'm making Salmon Patties tonight which is one of my hubbies and my favorite diners. I hope you have a good evening.
Stay safe and Well!

Happy Birthday 2 You

It's been a few days since I have been able to play with paper and ink. We had the downstairs of our home painted(1400 square feet) on Friday. A few days prior to that I was a little under the weather but still, I had to take down curtains, pictures, and removing lamps and such. Good thing the painters moved the heavier furniture. The process was like setting up a new home, for me anyway. They did a great job and I'm so happy we had it done but missed being up in my craft space.

I am back today with a card that I was able to create using the September Card Kit by MFT, Better Together. Such a cute set with the cute little Bug vehicle, adorable animals, and sentiments. This was my first go at using this set and I'm planning on creating a few more cards using it.

It is also the first time linking my card over at AAA Birthday Card Challenges. I was made aware of this site by JoAnn Burnham over at Crafty Nana.'s. I, like others, seem to have a never-ending need for birthday cards. Another good spot to join other card makers.

Products Used

Cloud STAMPS AND DIE-NAMICS: Bear Hug Bunch
HB2You stamp: MFT Bitty Birthday Wishes
Paper from the MFT Card Kit, Neenah Solar White 110#

That will be it for today. I have several more cards to work on. I hope you are having a wonderful Sunday and will have a safe week and stay well.

I decided to change my closing signature. Nona is what my GC call but doesn't include the Bee.
I'll give it a few weeks and see if I like the change. ;)

Consider this a paper hug

Hi all. I'm stopping by to share a card I have created for CAS Colours & Sketches #389. I recently received Simon Says Card Kit, Just Miss You, and chose to use the sentiments and stamps for my card today. I had used this set for a previous card but had used the included die, Sending Smiles, and some of the paper that was included in the kit.

This card went together fairly quickly. I stamped the cloud shape which is included in the set then added some color by blending SU Pool Party ink just to the top of the card. The three little men were stamped with Versafine Black ink and then colored with Prismacolor #1063. I used a retired SU Heart Punch using Strawberry Slush paper by SU you, also retired. The front panel was embossed with SU Subtles EF and then mounted on a Pool Paper base.

That's about it. I hope you take the time to explore the other creations posted for this week's challenge. Have a good week and stay well and safe.

Blessings, Bernie Bee

Thankful,Grateful, Blessed

Good Morning all. I'm back this morning for another card I created for CAS Colours & Sketches#388-Colors

I love the colors the team has chosen. They fit right into the Fall season for card making. Although this is the third card I created using this SU Gather Together Bundle and to post over at CAS its one I finally felt comfortable with. The other two were ok, but they just didn't please me, so it was back to the drawing board and now I feel more confident with this design. I know it's fairly simple, but I guess it's just more ME. Besides that, I think this will be simple enough to produce Thanksgiving cards for my family and a few friends.

Products Used:
Gina K  Autumn Wreath Builder sentiment

SU Subtle 3D folder
SU Stitched Nested Labels Dies
SU Gather Together Bundle

I hope you have a blessed week. Stay Well and Safe.

Just Saying Hello

Good evening. I hope you all have had a great weekend so far. Mine has been quiet and I was able to create a card for Freshly Made Sketches Challange. So it's been a win, win weekend so far.

I was in need of Hello cards to send to several friends this coming week, although I would love to see them in person. I looked through my Altenew stamp sets, which unfortunately are not used enough, and decided on Floral Wreath. I felt the larger leaves and the flowers would work well in the corners of the card. I leaned towards more Fall colors and really liked the way it came together.

Products Used:

Altenew Floral Wreath with matching dies

Gina K Ink Cubes: Faded Brick, Sweet Corn, Hampton Art Black Ink

SU Old Olive

SU Folder (retired)

Neenah Solar White 110#, Neenah White 80#

Sentiment/ unknow manufacturer

SU Stitched Shapes

Well, I need to go clean up my craft desk so I can do some creating possibly tomorrow. Have a wonderful and blessed Sunday, and stay Safe and Well.

Blessings, Bernie Bee

Sending Smiles

Good Morning! I hope you had a wonderful holiday weekend. We had just gotten back from a beach trip on Wednesday last week, so we weren't ready to "party" again.

I'm here this morning posting my second card as the Guest Designer for the month of September over at  CASColours & Sketches #387. I had just received my Simmon Says Card Kit and was anxious to use it and thought it would be perfect to use with the Sketch. The stamp set is just so appropriate for the time we are in and beyond. I paired the die-cut sentiment, paper, and the sequins that came with the kit.

It was a fairly simple card using the CAS & S  sketch.

Products Used
SSS Stamp Just Miss You

SSS Stamp Sending Smile die set

SSS Stamp Smiles sequin pack

SSS 100lb. Peacock cardstock

SU Very Vanilla

Have a wonderful new week and Stay healthy and Safe!
