Quick Baby Card - Welcome to the World

Yesterday I was able to finally get a Baby card made that I have needed for almost 2 months! I'm ashamed  to confess that . :0(  Even though I have 11 GC, making baby cards is not one of the easiest things for me to create. I'm not sure why.

I was inspired to by Freshly Made Sketches222 and the color combo over on Color Throwdown for this card.  It's wonderful to have such great inspiration at your fingertips. Once I had my papers and stamps selected, this card went together fairly quickly. I did keep it simple without a lot of extra "fluff".  I embossed the Basic Grey CS and had done the same with the onesie, but I didn't care for the onesie embossed.  I ditched that and just die cut a plain piece of Bashful Bride CS with the Babies First Framelits dies (ret)

I selected the sentiment from the from SU's Happy Happenings and cut it with one of the dies from Project Life Cards and Labels Framelits. This set of dies tends to my "go to" choice a good share of the time. The inside sentiment is from SU's Something to Say. I decided just to tape the gift card inside instead of making a gift card holder. Easy Peasy!

I'm off to do some errands today. I hope you have a wonderful Friday and get to something CRAFTY this weekend!

Feeling Sentimental Birthday/ Seize the Birthday

Yesterday I created another birthday card.  This is for one of my sons whose birthday is in March.  I still have one more to make for my DIL who's several days after his. Our family has birthdays every month of the year, so I'll always be needing and making birthday cards!

I used the Seize the Birthday sketch to create the card . The black/cream paper and the main image, from Feeling Sentimental, are retired. I used the birthday sentiment from Crazy About You on the front and the sentiment on the inside is from, Fabulous Four.

I will be out and about today doing errands, so it looks like not much crafting today.(insert sad face) I hope you will be able to enjoy the evening and do something CRAFTY this weekend!

Merry Christmas / pp273

Today I had some time to play with stamps and paper. The Paper Players had a challenge and I decided to play a long since I still needed several family Christmas cards. I chose the Patterned Paper/Sparkle or Shine/Tree Tic Tac Toe combo.

Here is the card I created drawing my color combination from a retired DSP by SU.

I know I've used this tree punch on quite a few cards, but I love the stamp set it coordinates with,  Festival of Trees. The "sparkle " factor comes in on this card , not only on the glitter paper stars, but the Diamond Stickles by Ranger that I used on the ornaments on the tree.  I haven't used Stickles in so long and I'm not sure why. Looks like I'll have to create other cards and use this fun addition of sparkle.

I'm off to heat up some leftovers for supper and then attempt to get my Studio back in order before I head off to bed. I hope you have had a wondeful Sunday and were able to do something CRAFTY like I have.

So Happy for You /Sweet Sunday #260

I've been wanting to use 2 of my FREE Sale-a-bration products, You Brighten My Day and Best Year Ever DSP for several weeks, but just couldn't seem to find my mojo. Well, that changed on Sunday! When I saw Karen's Sweet Sunday Sketch challenge everything just came together.

I recently ordered the What's Up punch that coordinates with the You Brighten My Day little house. So cute! I hadn't created any new home cards recently and thought this stamp / punch would be perfect fit.

The inside, bottem edge has little coffee beans stamped on it.

Just a quick and simple card today that will be linking to two challenges. The colourQ #283 color challenge was well, a challenge, although I think I managed to use the colors in the right proportion.
The sketch by Freshly Made Sketches #177 was fun and one I will keep my sketch folder to use again.

June Paper Pumpkin #2

Today I'm posting two more projects that I created using the June paper Pumpkin Kit.

This first photo is a simple wreath I made incorporating my Cricut Expression machine to make the wreath base ( 8 1/2" diameter) and using piece of 12x12 Navy Co-ordinations paper (non SU) and a piece of heavy cardboard. I then glued the 2 circles together to give it some more body.

I wrapped Red Grosgrain ribbon around the circle then added the Silver Stars with glue dots. I attached only two of the Pinwheels using glue dots to one of the sides.

If you have a larger circle form, you can cover it in some wide ribbon. This would make a great wreath to hang on a covered area and you would be able to incorporate more of those cute Pinwheels!

This hangs in my Studio

The above project is a Place Card for your July Fourth Holiday table. The base was cut at 4"x8" and scored at 4". The red polka dot paper(retired SU) was cut at 3 3/4"x3 3/4" and adhered to the Whisper White card stock.

I cut the straw so it would not interfere with the bottom of the Place Card. Very easy, by the way. I stamped the Celebrate with one of the included stamps on a flag banner that were also included, just folding it in half and attaching it with a included metal embellishment. The Project Life Cards and Labels dies was used to cut the name label.

Quick, Simple and festive!

I hope this gives you some "outside the box" ideas. As you can see, the Paper Pumpkin kits give you a simple solution to create something in 30 minutes, but you creativity doesn't stop there. As you see, you can put your own spin on the included supplies.

Have a wonderful and blessed July 4th. AND if you have some free time, Stay Crafty my Friends!

Masculine Get Well

Today I completed the get well card I needed for a male friend who had Hip Replacement surgery. I so enjoyed using the Wetlands stamp, I just don't know why I don't use it more often.

I really love how this card came together, especially the color combination of Mossy Meadow card stock and ribbon, Lost Lagoon as a layer embossed with the Woodgrain EF, and incorporating the use of one of the Project Life Cards and Life die cuts to frame out the sentiment. The main image and the sentiment was stamped on the Naturals White CS and backed with Baked Brown Sugar CS. I know I will be using this combination again.

All the products used on this card can be bought through me at my online store. I would love to be your demonstrator of choice and creative coach.
