Quick Baby Card - Welcome to the World

Yesterday I was able to finally get a Baby card made that I have needed for almost 2 months! I'm ashamed  to confess that . :0(  Even though I have 11 GC, making baby cards is not one of the easiest things for me to create. I'm not sure why.

I was inspired to by Freshly Made Sketches222 and the color combo over on Color Throwdown for this card.  It's wonderful to have such great inspiration at your fingertips. Once I had my papers and stamps selected, this card went together fairly quickly. I did keep it simple without a lot of extra "fluff".  I embossed the Basic Grey CS and had done the same with the onesie, but I didn't care for the onesie embossed.  I ditched that and just die cut a plain piece of Bashful Bride CS with the Babies First Framelits dies (ret)

I selected the sentiment from the from SU's Happy Happenings and cut it with one of the dies from Project Life Cards and Labels Framelits. This set of dies tends to my "go to" choice a good share of the time. The inside sentiment is from SU's Something to Say. I decided just to tape the gift card inside instead of making a gift card holder. Easy Peasy!

I'm off to do some errands today. I hope you have a wonderful Friday and get to something CRAFTY this weekend!

Hello Baby / MOJO#393

Today's card is one I'm sending along to my son and his wife, Lindsey. They blessed us with another beautiful granddaughter on Monday, Victoria Kate. She joins her brothers Jackson and Evan.

I used MOJO#393 sketch to jump start my creativity.

The papers are from and older echo park pack, Hello Summer, SU So Saffron, Whisper White,SU Primrose Petal ink, SU Something to Say and Teeny Tiny Wishes stamp sets , star punch, and SU Baby's First Framelits Dies, scallop circle die, banner die (non SU)

Well I'm off to do some errands and enjoy this beautiful day. Make your Wednesday a great one and go do something CRAFTY!

Hugs,

Seize the Cake / MOJO#387/Seize the Birthday

Today's card is a birthday card for one of my special son-in-laws. With 7 children, 3 daughter-in-laws, 3 son-in-laws, and 8 grandchildren, I'm ALWAYS in need of Birthday cards!
I'll be linking this card over at MojoMonday#387 and Seize the Birthday this week.

What a fun sketch. I'll be putting this into my sketch folder to use again.

The fun layering on top of the sentiment was something I was just introduced to by Melissa Phillips over at Make it Monday (Papertryink) which she referred to as, "Anchoring with Border and Banner Dies". I never thought of doing this, but love it and something I'll try again.

Some stuff you might want to know:

Another Masculine Birthday Card

With 3 sons, 3 son-in-laws, and 4 grandsons, and my hubby, it seems I'm always in need of masculine Birthday cards!

So, I took on this challenge yesterday, FMS144, that Freshly Made Sketches posted feeling I could actually turn it masculine. Clean and simple is not the easiest for me, and I'm still not sure if this would qualify.

The new In Color, Mossy Meadow, which I used on the embossed layer, is really becoming my favorite green. It is so rich and deep. I'll have to find more papers that I can pair with it in the coming weeks.
