Finished Cards

Just a quick post today. I  need to get ready to go over to the Clubhouse and then do some errands.

Here are the cards I said I would post that I made for my GD, Morgyn. There is a variety of occasions, papers and colors. I will be asking her to send me a list of her desired cards so I can get them out in a few weeks before my upcoming surgery.

The cards are ones I designed, CASEd cards by Mary Fish, and Stampin' Connection.

I looked through the cards that I have made over the past months, and I think I will be able to make some of them into more mailer friendly designs.

By subtracting buttons, layers and dimensionals,
they will be able to be mailed without costing her extra postage.

Well, I'm off to get my day into gear.
Have a great one and do something CRAFTY!

Welcome to the MESS!

NO cards to put up again. Well, I actually have cards, but they are not put together!

As you will see by the pictures I am posting, I'm actually working on cards. They are just not finished.

I hesitated to post these pictures. My craft space is down right embarrassing. I actually had to leave it
this way last night after dinner and just CLOSE the door. I can't work in that MESS!

Maybe some of you can relate. Or is it just me that has almost every stamp set, tool and ink pad out when trying to decide what to create?

I did have a plan eventually. I am making blank cards to send my granddaughter who is in Afghanistan with the Marines. I have been laboring for weeks and weeks on what to send.
She's young and trendy, and well,
I'm "mature" and not so much.

:} :} :}

Plus, I tend to have a difficult time with doing cards without a lot of layers and do dads. You know, sweet and simple, yet striking.

I have labored for weeks and even had several made that are now gracing my trash can.

Since I really wanted to get this goodie package of snacks and cards out to her, I had to CASE cards.
I know that is not a bad thing, but it usually
makes me feel less creative.

But, I'm so thankful for all the wonderful, creative
people that are demos for SU. They are so
free about sharing their talent and made my
creating process so much easier.

I hope to have pictures up by Monday and I
will give credit to where credit is due.

There is the pile of 6 cards to the left,
begging to be "dressed up "

This side of the room is actually not to bad.
Of course, I didn't take a picture of the floor under this station!

Thanks for stopping by and allowing me to ramble. I hope you have a CREATIVE and wonderful day. I'm off to my Woman's Bible Study then to do some errands. Hopefully, I'll get back to the "mess" later today. Yeah, we'll see how that goes...

Kaleidoscope Calender

Yes, I know it's already March and I'm JUST making a calendar for the new year just now.

I had received a package of 4 of these cute little calenders along with a pretty card stand months ago. I received it from Linda over at stampingschool.com as a gift for the Freebie Friday drawing.

I had all good intentions of making up a few, but you know how that goes. Or is only me who does that?

I put this together today to send to a special young lady and hope she enjoys the colors and forgives me for the lateness of the yearly calender.

Jesse - Nova Scotia Duck Tolling Retriever - Goodbye My Friend

No card today. It was one of those "no mojo" days, but there is a video about a dog. I know. But if you are a dog lover like I am, it might be worth a look.

Today I was looking through videos on Tolling Retrievers. My son, Joel, who lives in Maine, will be getting his puppy on April 4th. He is a Duck hunter and this dog is just the right fit.  They mimic foxes along the shore to attract the ducks. Amazing!  If you get a chance, look up some information on the Nova Scotia Tolling Retrievers. I'm sure you will be just as amazed as I was.

I ran across this video on YouTube and just wanted to share it. This is a tribute to a beloved dog that belonged to a handicapped young man. Such a beautiful dog and sweet, special young man.

Thanks for stopping by and putting up with my off track post.

Masculine Birthday Card/ MOJO334

Sorry for getting this up late today for you
East Coast people, but it's been a busy Monday!

I decided this morning to use the MOJO334 sketch and we were asked to do a long and skinny card. Mine was cut at 3.5x11 and scored at 5.5".

I decided to showcase the new paper I just received from Stampin' Up!, High Tide DSP 132992.

All I can say, LOVE IT! It is so colorful and such sweet images on the paper. As always, I will probably make several cards this week using it.

So Sorry and MOJO 333

I mentioned the other day that
I needed to make a Sympathy card.

One of my husbands fellow engineers at work lost both his father-in-law and brother on the same day. Such a sad thing for the family.

Using the MOJO333 sketch made it simple to get my, well, mojo going and hopefully a card that
will bless them and know we care.
