Kaleidoscope Calender

Yes, I know it's already March and I'm JUST making a calendar for the new year just now.

I had received a package of 4 of these cute little calenders along with a pretty card stand months ago. I received it from Linda over at stampingschool.com as a gift for the Freebie Friday drawing.

I had all good intentions of making up a few, but you know how that goes. Or is only me who does that?

I put this together today to send to a special young lady and hope she enjoys the colors and forgives me for the lateness of the yearly calender.

Hooray

I am posting a day early today. I have some new product arriving
today from Stampin' Up!'s new Occasions catalog and I'm hoping
to use it either tonight or tomorrow.

I thought I was finished with creating with the Kaleidoscope DSP,
but I guess not.  I saw this sketch Cindy put up on Friday Mashup and it shouted, Kaleidiscope!  So here, yet again, ANOTHER card with that paper.

For the main image I chose to use the "Polaroid" frame. This is only the second card using this technique, and I really love how it looks.

SU does have the ON File (132969, pg18 OC) dies available to get this look, but I have not ordered it yet.  Sad, but true. It is on my WISH List, though!

Weeeooo!

Here is yet another card using the Kaleidoscope DSP 132995 that was available
starting yesterday in the new Occasions 2014 catalog.

I used the DS132  sketchy Deconstructing Jen, to design this card for a special little guy who is celebrating his first birthday this month.

I used the Envelope Punch Board (133774) to make a matching envelope from the same DSP. The punch board is probably one of those tools that will be on my favorites list for a long time. It is so easy to use and it's not just for envelopes, but gift card holders, boxes, and etc. A great addition to your paper crafting stash if you haven't bought one as of yet. You will not be dissappointed.

SU PRODUCTS USED

Paper: Kaleidoscope DSP 132995
Crushed Curry CS, Shimmery White 101910,
 Bermuda Bay CS
*I used the shimmery White to stamp the emergency truck. I found using the inks and Aqua Painters on this paper, just held up better. The watercolor paper just didn't give a sharp, clear image. I am going to play around a little more with the it in a few weeks. I'll let you know how it goes.

Stamp: You're My Hero130309

Ink: Bermuda Bay, Crushed Curry StazOn Black Ink

2 1/2" Circle Punch 120906

Non-SU embossing folder

Whisper White Bakers Twine 124262

Aqua Painters 103954

Neutral Candy Dots 130924,

Regals Buttons 130029

Sweet and Simple Thank You

I did try to get this up earlier today, but I was having computer problems.
Thankfully, all is well and in working order.

This card is using the Pals Paper Arts 185 sketch for the week. I needed a
quick thank you card and this fit the bill.

The card incorporated, one designer paper, one stamp,
one ink color, two punches. So Sweet and Simple!

Sending Good Thoughts

My card today is a fairly simple design.  One that could be put together in under
10 or 15 minutes.  Don't you just love those kind of projects?

The DSP and stamp set will be available January 3, 2014.

The card base is a top fold; 5 1/2 x 4 1/4.

Paper: Kaleidoscope DSP 132995
Whisper White CS, Crushed Curry, Strawberry Slush CS, Bermuda Bay CS

Stamp:Perfect Pennants 133230

*I hand cut the pennants on this card.

I hope you get a chance to be CRAFTY today.  I'm still working at
unpacking NC boxes. I had a productive day yesterday, so it looks like
I'll make my goal to have it completed by the weekend.
