Easter Blessings/Birthday Week

Good Morning! Today is the start of not only a new week, but my Birthday week. Friday, April 4th. is the day and no, I won't be revealing the year! Although, I'm not quite as "old as dirt", yet...

BUT, I will be giving a Gift Package to one of you this week in celebration of my birthday.

All you will need to do, is leave a comment here on my blog. I will post the usual 3 projects through the week, with perhaps one extra. So if you leave 1 or more comments, you will have your name entered the number of  times you have commented. That's it!

I will post the winner on Monday, March 31st.
Okay, maybe I am as old as dirt or should have read this post more closely!
Sorry for the wrong drawing date.
It is - April 7th...

Baby Card

I thought I might not have a chance to upload and post this before the deadline for MOJO 306, but I managed to squeeze some time in today.

This Baby card came together fairly quickly.
I saw the sketch, had Gingham Garden DSP lying on my studio desk,
and as they say, the rest is history!

I did struggle with adding the Daffodil Delight circle and the Polka Dot Parade DSP, but I feel it really added the pop needed for the card.

There is a tiny bit of the Daffodil Delight in the small flowered background paper, so I assumed I wasn't completely off base.

The sentiment is from One in a Million which also had an appropriate inside sentiment. This has been my most recent "go to" stamp set. There are great  sayings included in this set of 10 stamps.

Thanks for stopping by and have a wonderful  and CRAFTY weekend!

Punched Paper Bow

I had several people ask me about the bow that was on my 5 Minute Inspiration card several days ago.

So today I thought I would put up a quick post showing how to make this fast and easy embellishment.

All the measurements are just approximate. I like to make
my strips a little longer just "in case" I goof up!

Assembly

DSP of your choice. The DSP works better then the CS

2 Ovals - I used SU! Large Oval (119855)

3 Strips of DSP -  I used Polka Dot Parade ( 126902)

1- 1/8" x 1 1/2"
1- 1/4" x 2 1/2" ,   1- 1/2" x4"

Using the smaller piece, adhere glue dots to ovals and place across like a bridge. This is what holds the ovals together. I did trim my bridge piece.

Add a glue dot to the end of the ovasl and curl over a paint brush or paper piercing tool being careful not to crease the bow end. I find the paint brush to work better for me.

Now take the 1/4" piece, add a glue dot and wrap around the bow middle.

Notch the longer 1/2" piece to form the bow tails, use a glue dot adhere
the bow to the tails and your done!

I hope you give this a try.

Have a great and CRAFTY day!

This card is another CASED catalog card. I almost didn't post it. I'm not all that sure if it has a cohesive look or is appealing, but I'm throwing it out anyway.
Opinions are WELCOME!

My card has many more layers. It wasn't intentional.
