JOY to the World update

Well I finished putting together my cards several days ago, but a stomach bug decided it wanted to ruin the plan to assembly them.  They are finished now and I am addressing them today to mail out tomorrow.
I was only able to get to the USPS yesterday to pick up stamps. We had about 4 inches of snow on Monday so things were closed down. It doesn't sound a lot to some, but here in the South, with not much snow removal equipment, it makes a difference in clearing it from the roads. I believe some counties are still closed. They did receive more then we did here in Clayton, but the snow melted on the roads last evening,but the below freezing temps are played havoc and caused Black Ice to form.

Here the finished card. I used the Filled With Joy card kit by MFT with the included stamp set and dies and their Stitched die-namics, the Softly Falling embossing folder by SU, Neenah 80lb. paper, SU Real Red card stock, stash Glimmer Paper, SU Real Red ink, and , SU Metallic Pearls. I was going to add the pearls to the star shapes, but decided against it. They don't seem to make it through the mail unless you put an extra piece of card stock over them. I just was concerned about adding weight to the card = more postage.

   For the inside sentiment I put into service a retired SU stamp set, More Merry Messages.

I hope you are moving along with your Christmas preperations and have a blessed day today. Now, go do something you LOVE!

SWEET!

Here is the card I promised I would post today.  Can you believe it, 3 days, 3 cards! Happy, Happy, Happy!

Gosh, I'm loving this Blackberry Bliss and Hello Honey combo.  I wasn't sure I would, but I do.

This Bravo Stamp set is one of the new Photopolymer additions to the SU stamp collection. The stamps are large, but wonderful to use. I have a little testimonial about the stamp I used on this card.  I had the center piece all done including the bird, leaves and ribbon.  I know, NOT something you should do first.  :{

I inked up the stamp and laid it down on the paper. Unfortunately, it didn't stamp all the way! OM goodness, did I have to start all over again? The answer was NO.  I re-inked the stamp, and since it's clear, I was able to re-aline it! Let me tell you I was one happy stamper.

The Products used on this Card

Polka-Dot Pieces
Blackberry Bliss Ribbon - NEW

Moonlight  Paper Stack - New

Large Scallop Die

I hope you get a chance to look over all the new products and do something CRAFTY.  Have a wonderful and blessed day.
