The cute little 3D, Pop-Up Box Card. Such a fun card to make and give.
This particular card is one of a few floating around on the internet. I first saw it on Splitcoaststampers, but that one was very large. The one I created was from instructions that Linda over on Stamping School gave. This one will fit nicely into an A2 envelope when flattened.
Here is the card-box closed and ready to be put into an envelope. The picture to the right is of the remaining two panels. I added some dots to give it a "doodle" look using the Uni-Ball Signo Gel Pen 105021. Splitcoaststampers is having a special challenge using doodling on a card. I'm afraid this is about as close to doodling I will ever be getting!
Just a few closeups of the front and side. I used dimensional just on the die cut tulips and Four Frames Stamp 123442. I stamped that in Pear Pizzazz ink and used a phrase from Petite Pairs 122497 inked with StazOn Jet Black ink.
The butterflies are from the Papillon Potpourri 132058 with the matching Itty Bitty Butterfly punch 129406 with
Basic Pearl Jewels added to the center.
Coastal Cabana CS, Daffodil Delight CS, and Midnight Muse CS.
I used Pear Pizzazz for the stems with leaves and Old Olive CS for the grass. The grass is was cut using a Cricut cartridge.
In retrospect, the next time I will attach the stems and die cut tulips to a piece of florist wire like Linda did. It will not only give it more stability, but I will be able to achieve more variety with staggering heights.
Although, this took me some time to choose papers, dies, colors and assemble, I know I will be trying my hand at another one. I have few ideas floating around in my head. Now that can be a dangerous thing. More time in my Studio, oh NO!
Well, I'm off to do my Bible Study, wash, and some housework. Then I'll be heading to my Studio to work on a Sympathy card.
Have a wonderful and CRAFTY day!
