I'm Here For You/ ctd381

Just a quick post today using the new SU Pedal Pusher stamp set that was free during Sale-A-Bration. I have a friend at church, a young Mom who is battling cancer.  I have been sending her cards just to let her know she is being thought of and prayed for.

I really loved the Spring colors that Color Throwdown posted for the week, but instead of a card full of flowers or bunnies, I decided on the cute bike in this set.  I minimally colored the bike and added the basket of flowers to tie all the colors together.

(the products used are at then end of this post. )

OOPS!  I thought the color was Honey not Kraft. I guess I should have read the whole post :0(
That's it for today. I hope you had a wonderful weekend and did something CRAFTY! Have a great week.

Simple Birthday Card/ Freshly Made Sketches225

Good afternoon  to everyone who is stopping by.  This will be a very quick post today. I meant to get this up yesterday, but time got away from me.

The inspiration for this card is the Freshly Made Sketches sketch and papers that I had laying on my craft desk from Mondays card. It came together quickly since the only layering I did was the cake image. The rest of the card was clean and simple. Love that!

That' it! Have a wonderful and CRAFTY Thursday.  I hope to pop in again tomorrow or Saturday.

Cricut Explore/SU/Mojo #436

Today I've been working on some family birthday cards again.  My board is telling me I still need 4 more after this one. I'm so blessed to be not only to create and send them, but have great inspiration from MOJO Monday.

My card today incorporates an image from my Cricut Access, Create a Critter cut on my Cricut Explore Air, a retired SU stamp and paper.  I  have been wanting to use Pinwheels on a card for several weeks and today was the day.  I didn't include the "stick" on the images on the outside, but used the full die cut on the inside of the card.

I drew the color combination from the Best Year Ever DSP (ret)) of Coastal Cabana,Crushed Curry and Soft Suede. The little Pinwheels were cut from the coordinating paper from the same DSP. I did cut a smaller circle ( SU 1" Circle Punch) to anchor the button and banner.

I just love the little smiley faces in the centers of the Pinwheel.

This will go into my Family Birthday Stash until I need to mail it. I hope you have a wonderful evening and get to do something CRAFTY!

Masculine Birthday Card/ MOJO Monday435

Honestly, I am doing the HAPPY DANCE with the posting of this card!

Last week was one of those, I'm glad it's over, type of weeks.  My husband and I both came down with the awful stomach virus. UGH! My symptoms started late Sunday night and it was full blown by early Monday morning. I couldn't eat for 3 days and I think I sleep 48 hours total. I had no energy and no appetite. I had to get myself a little together on Wednesday. A couple had requested a house showing. I pushed through and got things straightened up for that to happen.

By Wednesday evening Steve was in the throws of it, literally. He was feeling somewhat better on Saturday, which was a good thing. We had a OPEN HOUSE scheduled from 12 until 3 that day and we did manage to get things in order for the showing. Sunday was our usual day involved with our church. We came home on Sunday evening very thankful that the Lord got us through the week.

Saying all that, I didn't have one bit of mojo in me to want create anything. I certainly had ideas floating around in my head, but that's where they stayed. I tried to play around with stamps and paper on Monday, but that ended with LOTS of paper scraps in my trash bin. Today I was determined to use the MOJO435 sketch and get a masculine card made. Eureka, I did it!!!

I did not make the panels as wide or layer them.  The background paper was what I desired to showcase. This is the retired SU DSP, Birthday Bash and happens to my all time favorite as far as birthday paper. Believe me, I use it sparingly.

That's about it for today's post. Sorry it was a little wordy. I hope you had a wonderful Wednesday so  far and were able to do something CRAFTY!

Quick Baby Card - Welcome to the World

Yesterday I was able to finally get a Baby card made that I have needed for almost 2 months! I'm ashamed  to confess that . :0(  Even though I have 11 GC, making baby cards is not one of the easiest things for me to create. I'm not sure why.

I was inspired to by Freshly Made Sketches222 and the color combo over on Color Throwdown for this card.  It's wonderful to have such great inspiration at your fingertips. Once I had my papers and stamps selected, this card went together fairly quickly. I did keep it simple without a lot of extra "fluff".  I embossed the Basic Grey CS and had done the same with the onesie, but I didn't care for the onesie embossed.  I ditched that and just die cut a plain piece of Bashful Bride CS with the Babies First Framelits dies (ret)

I selected the sentiment from the from SU's Happy Happenings and cut it with one of the dies from Project Life Cards and Labels Framelits. This set of dies tends to my "go to" choice a good share of the time. The inside sentiment is from SU's Something to Say. I decided just to tape the gift card inside instead of making a gift card holder. Easy Peasy!

I'm off to do some errands today. I hope you have a wonderful Friday and get to something CRAFTY this weekend!

Celebrate with Cake/MOJO433

Good Morning everyone or afternoon if your not on the West coast! I hope your day has been all that you hoped it would be so far.  I intended to have this card and post up yesterday after noon, but time got away from  me.

We had another house showing and I needed to make sure everything was neat and tidy.  I'll be so happy when we have a Sale Pending sign out. I'm sure some of you have gone through this and know how stressful it can be some days.  We did have a couple who really loved the place, but unfortunately, could not get financing. I really felt sad for them, but hopefully they will find another house within their budget.

Here is a quick Birthday Card that I created using the MOJO Monday433 sketch. This card will be going out to my DIL in Maine for her birthday in March. I used SU's Birthday Bouquet DSP and an older Sale-A-Bration stamp set, Big Day.  I embossed the Blushing Bride piece using the Hearts folder (ret) and cut the small hearts from the framelits, Hearts a Flutter (ret) and added some small Mossy Meadow buttons.

That's it for today. I'm off to whip up a card or two. Have a wonderful day and stay CRAFTY!

Sympathy Cards

Hello everyone. I hope your weekend was wonderful and you had a chance to do something CRAFTY!

I did. I was able to work on some Sympathy Cards on Sunday afternoon.  A woman at church heads up a Prayer, Care and Visitation outreach and occasionally needs Sympathy and Get Well cards. So I was on a mission to bless the ministry with some.

This was a little bit of a challenge for me, since I wanted to keep them one layered.  As most of use know, too many layers and embellishments cost more to mail. I certainly wanted to make them go regular 1st. Class Mail to keep the cost down. I think I succeeded.  What do you think?

The cards I'm posting today are Sympathy cards. I will bee making another 4 or more as the weeks go by. I did use "Thinking of You" on several of them, but they will have a sympathy sentiment inside.

I actually used Mossy Meadow ink on the tree and sentiment, but it did not show up. :0(

The flowers were colored using Pool Party ink and a Blender Pen

I used some faux "wink of stella" on the flowers and foliage.

I used the one of the Gorgeous Grunge stamps for the splatter.

That's about it for today.  I'm going to hopefully, create some Get Well cards today so I can hand them off tomorrow to Mona the coordinator of the outreach.

A confession.  I'm taking a big step of faith here giving these cards to Mona. I'm usually okay sending my family and some friends my cards, but I don't usually share them with people I don't know. It's a lack of confidence on my part as a crafter. I am getting more comfortable with it, though. ;0)

Have a great day and as usual, go do something CRAFTY!
