Masculine Happy Birthday Wishes

Hello All! Today I am posting a birthday card that I created for my husband. It is my first time using the Sailing Home Stamp Set with matching dies and the Come Sail Away DSP. I had fallen in love with this set and the matching paper but found my self stumped trying to create a card. I perused Pinterest and gathered some ideas and just plowed through trying to create my own take on others designs.

After taking quite a bit of time with this card I realized I put the side panel with the ropes different then what I intended. I wanted the blue rope design on the outside edge, blah! Oh well, I just need to live with it. I'm almost sure my sweet husband will not even notice ;}

I used SU Night of Navy ink for the Lighthouse and Birds, SU Soft Suede, Night of  Navy, and Crumb Cake. The sentiment is from an older retired stamp: "Petite Pairs". I used dimensional on the Lighthouse.

Congratulations!

Today I finished up a card for one of my younger daughters and her husband. They just sold their home, bought an RV that they will be living in until they build a home on their recently purchased 5 acres. It will be quite an adventure for them and their 3 children.

This card is to congratulate them on their new NEST, the RV, that will be their home for at least a year. I haven't used these dies in quite a while but thought the birdhouse would be perfect.

I will be entering it in the current ColorThrowdown challenge. The colors at first stumped me, but thinking it through and pulling out different shades of SU colors helped make the process a little easier.

PARTICULARS:
MFT Die-Namics: Stitched Sentiments Strips, Stitched Rectangle Frames, Birds of a Feather
SU Paper: Blueberry Bushel, Daffodil Delight, Shaded Spruce, Highland Heather, Bermuda Bay
Stamp: SU Something to Say
MFT Stencil: Colored the Mini Cloud Edges with Pool Party ink
Ink: GinaK  Black Amalgam

That's it for this evening. I hope you have a wonderful Sunday and are able to do something you LOVE!

Blessings,
Bernie

Congrats

Hello all. I'm posting a card today to link up to Freshly Made Sketches and a new site for me, The Flower Challenge #35.

The FMS sketches are great, but keeping them cleaned-lined and fresh sometimes is a challenge for me, but this card was created fairly quick. I must have had my mojo on yesterday.

I needed a card for my neighbor who is moving to a new house and she loves flowers. Hence, a card to congratulate her on her new home. The Flower Challenge blog calls for the floral to be the main feature, which I believe this card does.

PARTICULARS:

Paper: Neenah Solar White 110#, SU  Powder Pink, Berry Burst
Stamps: Altenew Garden Treasures, SU Simply Wonderful (SAB)
Ink: Memento Jet Black, Altenew Pink Diamond, Pinklicious, Fresh Leaf / Forest Glade Fresh Asparagus GinaK
Die-cut: SU  Oval Stitched Die

I hope you have a wonderful day and are able to do something you LOVE!

Blessings, Bernie

Butterfly Note Card

Hello all. Just popping in today with a Birthday Card which is a grouping of 4 note cards that I'm giving to my neighbor as a going away gift. I just used up almost the last piece of this pretty DSP that was available through SU's Sale-A-Bration promo. I do have some other patterns left, but not much. I received my inspiration from a gal on Pinterest but didn't use ribbon or a more recent Butterfly Stamp as she had. I will be linking this over at Seize the Birthday adding to my other 2 cards there.

PARTICULARS:
Paper: SU Botanical Butterfly, SU Balmy Blue, SU Black
Stamps: Papillon Potpourri w/ matching Punch (ret.), GinaK Wreath Builder sentiment
Ink: Memento Jet Black, GinaK Fine embossing powder used on the butterfly
Scallop Punch and Circle Punch by SU (ret.)
Size: 4 1/4x5 1/2

That's it for today. Have a good evening and go do something you LOVE!

Blessings, Bernie

Butterfly Happy Birthday

Hi All! I hope your day is going well and you will be enjoying the upcoming weekend. I worked on a birthday card yesterday finishing it up today. It will be sent to my cousin in Texas who will be 80 at the end of the month. She has been a perpetual "21" for years and the inside sentiment fits her to a tea!

I will be linking this card over at Seize the Birthday today since their "Toppings" is Butterflies. You should "fly over to see the wonderful cards other card crafters have posted."

I hope you get to do something you LOVE this weekend! I'm off to make a couple of New Home cards and a Belated Birthday. We'll see how that goes...

Blessings, Bernie
