Happy Birthday

I'm back today continuing to use the SU Botanical Butterfly DSP. I knew when I saw this in the Sale-A-Bration catalog it was a must have. Nothing says Spring to me better then a pastel color palette and butterfly's. I will be linking this over at  Seize the Birthday where the TOPPING is Spring today.

That's about it for this evening. I'm off to make dinner in about 45 minutes, but have to clean up my mess on my craft desk. Make it a great evening and go do something you LOVE!

Blessings, BernieB

Particulars:
I used Neenah White 110 lb. for the card base, papers from the Botanical Butterfly DSP, SU Black CS, SU Highland Heather CS, SU Daffodil Delight CS. Memento Black Ink, Versa Mark Ink, Gina K Fine Detail Clear Embossing Powder. A Gina K sentiment from the Stippled Flowers stamp set was inked using Perfect Plum since I did not have Highland Heather Ink.

Friendship Card Redo

Here is another redo of a card I made in 2013 using the new free DSP, SU Botanical Butterfly and the butterfly from, SU Papillon Potpourri with matching punch. After I put it together, I was a little concerned that the butterflys were not as evenly spaced as they could have been. My original thought process was to leave the Grapefruit Grove butterfly showing. Not sure if I should have done that now. Oh, well... I will be making a second card, so I'll see how it looks to have that particular butterfly covered.

Lucky Limeade, Grapefruit Grove

Here is the card that I created in 2013

Strawberry Slush, Coastal Cabana
**If you would like more info on the products used on this card and my previous post, just type in the search section, "Papillon Popourri".**

I will be linking my redo over at MOJO Monday today. Why not stop by and see the inspiration and upload a card.

That's it for today. I'm off to grocery shop, although I rather be playing with paper. Make your day a great one and go do something you LOVE!

Botanical Butterfly DSP

Daffodil Delight, Lemon Lime Twist
I started to play around with the SU Botanical Butterfly DSP last night and created this card. Since I did not buy the stamp set that matched this paper, I decided to look back at my older cards when I used the SU Papillon Potpourri stamp set. The card below is one that I created in July of 2012.

Daffodil Delight, Lucky Limeade
I thought I would copy the layout since I had used the stamp. I did make the top card an A2 size and the one above is 5x5. I plan on CASing some of my other cards using this butterfly stamp with matching punches and pairing it with the Botanical Butterfly DSP.

Have a great evening and go do something you LOVE!

You're in My thoughts Today

I'm here posting a second card for MOJO Monday today.  This was using some of my last strips of paper by SU, Frosted Floral SP. I believe after looking today that I do have one more 6x6 pieces left. It's better then thinking I haven't more!

I paired this piece with Gray Granite and Blackberry Bliss. I then embossed the gray layer with SU's  Subtle Dynamic Embossing folder. After I had finished gluing down the pieces, I was disappointed that I did not emboss the Blackberry Bliss piece.Oh well, it is what it is. The sentiment is from an old Papertey Ink set that I embossed with WOW silver embossing powder. I used my MISTI and GinaK's Wreath Builder template and one of the stamps from the original Wreath Builder set. I then cut it with SU's Stitched Shapes Framelits.

That's it for tonight. Have a wonderful evening and go do something you LOVE!

Warmest Birthday Wishes

Good afternoon everyone. I finished a couple of cards last night and I'll be posting the one below and linking it to Seize the Birthday.

I'm down to one 6x6 sheet of this Frosted Floral SP by SU. Sad but true. I order the 6x6 sample paper stacks when Linda Heller offers the new papers. I didn't realize how much I would enjoy using it. Oh well, there will certainly be more paper I will like in the upcoming catalogs. ;}

I used Tranquil Tide for the middle strip that I embossed with a Dots folder and Soft Suede for the middle layer. Neenah #80 lb. was used for the base and sentiment oval. The sentiment is from a retired SU stamp set "Blooming with Kindness". I found some old Copper Pearls in my stash and thought they would finish the oval off nicely. That's about it.

I hope you have a wonderful weekend and are able to do something you LOVE!

I used Verve stamp Scripture Medley 1, SU Layered Leaves dynamic for the first layer, SU Frosted Florals,SU Blackberry Bliss paper and ink,and SU Stitched Shapes Framelits Dies, and older scallop and round die, and Neenah #80 pound paper.

Make it a wonderful day and go do something you LOVE!

Hello Friend

Just stopping by today with a quick note card that I'm using to send to some friends of mine. I have really been working at trying to send a card a month to my long distance friends to let them know I'm thinking of them. Some months they are little more stepped up, but I keep this one fairly simple.

I used my MISTI to line up the two trees and sentiment and inked them with SU Soft Suede. This made a very quick process. Love my MISTI!

Note Card - cut at 7x5, scored at 3 1/2"

I broke out an old SU set, Totally Trees and paired it with a GinaK sentiment from , Inspiring Poppies.  SU Lucky Limeade paper, Lucky Limeade and Pear Pizzazz ink finished up the trees.

Well, I'm off to finish the other 5 of these note cards. I hope you have a great day and are able to do something you LOVE!

Blessings,

Happy Second Birthday

Good afternoon all! Just dropping by today to post a card I just made for one of my grandsons who is turning 2 on St. Patrick's Day. The lime green paper nods to that.

I created this card and linking it to the new Seize the Birthday Challengealthough I do not have stripes incorporated in the design for the Toppings challenge, I have incorporated the dots. I realized this morning that I had not linked this card. Oops!

The animals, and the sentiment are from MFT's Safari Party stamp set with matching die-namics, the stitched rectangle is from a MFT set, the #2 from the Days and Dates Cartridge by Cricut cut on my Explore Air, the paper is SU. I also used my white Signo pen to add dots to the #2. The animals were colored with my Prismacolored pencils and blended with Gamsol.

I hope you have a wondeful and blessed day, AND as always, go do something you LOVE!
