It's Your Birthday!

I'm posting today a card I made to play along with MOJO #508 sketch challenge. It seems I always need Birthday cards, so my descision was to create one using this sketch.

Happy Birthday Panther Card

Just a quick post this morning. One of my grandson ordered a birthday card for his 6th. Birthday, which is today. He had seen a pop up card that I made for one his cousins and liked it. Although hers was with balloons and balloon paper. I decided to go for a different pop up and different theme with his. Okay, now where do I find a image suitable for his card? He loves the Avenger Black Panther and asked me to put one on his card. I set out on a quest to fulfill it.

I had a little panic attack and looked at many pictures online trying to come up with an image that could be used on his card that would incorporate his hero. I finally found some free images and printed them out on Neenah Solar White #80 paper. I'm really happy with the results, although I had to fussy cut the image on the front.  This is one "activity" I usually try to stay clear of. ;}}

This is the bottom of the inside. I used Dawn Griffith's  "Inside Banner Pop Out "card design. It was just what I was looking for. Quick and Easy!

Products Used:  SU Black CS, Animal Expedition, SU Night of Navy, Memento Black Ink, an unknown stamp company for the outside sentiment, the inside sentiment is from MFT LJD Birthday Greetings, and the SU punch, Taylored Tag.

Tropical Chic Birthday

I'm posting a birthday card today to link to Julee Tillman's MOJO Mondays Sketch #507. I  love her sketches and am so happy she is back posting and challenging us to play along.

I am using SU's  Tropical Chic stamp set with the Tropical Thinlet Dies. Although I love this set, I've used it very little. I blowed off  the dust and used it today. Since I have it out, I think I'll make several more cards with it.

 All the papers are by SU including the patterned paper, Tropical Escape, which coordinates with the stamp set. The accent colors are Berry Burst and Granny Apple Green. The stitched layer is by MFT and the stitched circle is by SU. The Happy Birthday is an older Taylored Expressions set, Whimsical Wishes. This card has lots of layers and lots of dimension, so I plan on hand delivering it since postage is going up in a few weeks.

*When I looked at this picuter after I posted it, the closest panel looks a little off, but it's not. I guess the wonky lines on the panel behind is causing it to look like that.* Now it's driving me a little crazy!
