Paper Pumpkin - My take

Just a quick post this Friday morning. We are going to Los Angeles this weekend for my hubby's birthday. I have wash to do, a dog to shampoo, packing and a few projects sitting on my desk to finish up. I hope you all have a wonderful Holiday weekend, the Summers last Hooray.

I played around with the August Paper Pumpkin kit and this is the card I created. I certainly see more possibilities in using the provided supplies, but this it for today.

I'm not all that sure if I like how it came together. I even went to bed trying to decide if I would even post it, but I said I would put a project up today, SO here it is.

I think I went a little overboard with the DOTS. I just got carried away. I was having so much fun stamping that little round dot stamp on paper. I know, it takes very little to amuse me.

I would like some honest feedback on this card. So if you get a chance during this busy holiday weekend, drop me a comment and tell me what you think. I promise not to go into my bedroom and boo woo. :)

That's about it for today. Have a wonderful weekend with family and friends and take time to do something CRAFTY my friends!

Hugs,

Bernadette

I've been cleaning and organizing paper, and files ( not in my Studio, just personal stuff) which should have been done more then a year ago. Believe me, my new Shredder is getting a workout! I really don't know why I put it off so long.

I  haven't done any card making since last Thursday and as you can see by the photo, I haven't even opened my kit to play. Today I should be finished and will have some of the products in the kit put together to post on Friday.

Make your Wednesday a great one and stay CRAFTY my friends!

A Quick Fall Card

Just a quick post on a Quick Card today.

Here is another card using the new stamp set,  For All Things, which will be available for purchase on Thursday, August 28th.

Just a couple of simple layers, one embossing folder, or you can choose not to use one, ribbon and rounded corners. That's it. These could be produced in mass, by cutting all layers and card bases, the doing all the stamping.

I hope you have a wonderful Monday and do something CRAFTY!

Joy

Today is another double challenge card using the MOJO#359 sketch of the week and a scriptural inspiration stamp for Word Art Wednesday.

I used Lost Lagoon, which I love, paired with Daffodil Delight, and stamped the sentiment and flowers with the Lost Lagoon ink. Lost Lagoon is one of my favorite new blues and I always seem to gravitate towards using it.

Coloring the pearls on this card was something I hadn't tried before. Using the Daffodil Delight Blendability Marker to coordinate them was so easy. I certainly will be doing that more often.

Have a great weekend and stay CRAFTY my friends!

Sneak Peek #3

Sneak Peek #3

A quick post today using 2 more stamps from the "For All Things" stamp set available August 28th.

I CASEd this card from the Stampin' Up! Stampin' Success Sept/Oct Magazine which is available to Demonstrstors every other month.  I changed the colors up a bit and the stamp, but it the layout is the same.

The splotches were added using a stamp that came with a Paper Pumpkin project. I used the Stampin' Distress Tool around the main image piece, rather then tear the paper the way the sample showed.

Have a wonderful and CRAFTY day my friends!

Sneak Peek Day #2

As I mentioned yesterday, I have a project , not only using the NEW Gift Box Punch Board, but a new stamp set and punch.
I cut an 8x8 piece of Blackberry Bliss CS and followed the directions on the board to produce this 2.5x 2.5 x 2.5 Box. I used  Glue Dots on the inside flaps (top corners only) and to keep the box closed at the top.

The completed box

This is the completed box using the NEW stamp set, For All Things and Cheerful Tags (the to/from is from that set.) The punch is also a NEWNote Tag Punch , which not only coordinates with the Cheerful Tags stamp, but another stamp set as well.

The punched tag measures, 1 1/2" x 2 3/16" and is a perfect size for labeling a gift. I really love this little tag and can see myself using it often, but I do need to buy a smaller hole punch. The one I used was a little overkill!

The acorns from For All Things set, were colored with Blackberry Bliss and Hello Honey ink using a dry Aqua Painter applied directly to the image.  I don't own the new In Color Stampin' Write Markers, so I had to improvise.

To add more color to the box, I cut a 1 1/2" strip of paper 12" long and wrapped it around the perimeter of the box overlapping and cutting the excess.
Side View
I will be posting cards tomorrow and Friday using the For All Things set. I hope you stop buy a take a look and as always, I would love to have you drop by with a comment or two.

Stay  CRAFTY MY FRIENDS!

Hugs, Bernadette
