Congratulations!

I'm here again today. I've been on a roll the past several days. Without much to do outside the house, not even 4th of July celebrations, I've been trying to stay positive. Card making seems to help my frame of mind and focusing on what I can do instead of what I can't do. So important through this season we are all going through.

I used the sketch over at the CAS(E) blog. This card was made for my nephew who just graduated High School. His school colors are quite close to SU Blueberry Buckle. I found the dotted grey paper in my stash and used a retired stamp by SU called Bravo. This is one of those stamps I'm not quite ready to let go of. The graduation caps,  I  cut on my Cricut Explore Air and used SU Mini Dimensionals to give it dimension. The star was punched with a ret. SU punch and the larger of the two was cut with SU Star Framelits. I accented the tassels and the center star with SU Silver Metallic Pearls.

That's about for this afternoon. The day is sunny but a "balmy" 94 degrees! Ninety-four in Scottsdale is one thing with low humidity, here in NC the humidity is, well, uncomfortable.

Well, that's enough of my ramblings for today. I hope you have a good weekend and stay safe.

Blessings,
Bernie B

It's Your Birthday

Back this afternoon to post a card that I will be adding to Seize the Birthday and Freshly Made Sketches.

I had fun making this. I love red, white, and blue combinations. This is going to go into my Masculine Card section, but of course, it is appropriate for the 4th.of July Birthdays.

The papers used on this card: SU Real Red, Night of Navy, Playing with Patterns, and Playful Pets and Neenah Solar White110# for the base. Extra supplies used: MFT Basic Edge Dies, SU Stitched Framelits Dies, SU Star Die. The sentiment is from MFT Bitty Birthday Wishes which was stamped in Night of Navy. I used another sentiment from that MFT set on the inside, "Lets Get The Party Started" to finish it off and ready to mail.

I guess that's about it on card making today. Boy, how I wish someone would clean up my mess and put my supplies away! Have a great 4th. of July weekend. Stay Safe and Well.

Blessings,
Bernie B

Hello Friend

Good afternoon! Just popping in on my blog today to post a card I made for the CAS Color and Sketched Challenge.

I was looking through some of my older papers and came across a retired SU paper. I love gingham checks this was chosen immediately and it matched the blue of the solid piece that I used the

I love the colors and simplicity of this sketch. It will be one I'll be using again. The papers are SU except for the base which is Neenah Solar White110#. Stitched Basic Edge Dies, Stitched Rectangle Die-namics, and Stitched Flowers all by MFT.  The sentiment is from an older Gina K stamp set. I'll be sending this along to a dear friend in Tennessee tomorrow.

That's about it. I will be creating a Birthday card and Graduation card later today, but off of here to have some lunch.
Blessings,

Celebrate every moment

Happy Sunday everyone! I'm here today with a card that I will post on Freshly Made Sketches and Seize the Birthday.

I just received my new papers from SU. I buy 6x6 sheets of each suite which helps me not to have an over abundance of paper left over. I used the Forever Greenery DSP and paired it with Just Jade, Pear Pizzazz, and Shaded Spruce. I must say this is my favorite DSP.  The colors and the designs are beautiful. My only regret with this card is that the leaf panel is too wide. I either should have cut the width down or used a larger stitched circle. Oh well, tomorrow is another day and I continue to learn through my mistakes.

That's it for this evening. I have quite a mess to clean up and need to eat super. I hope you have a wonderful coming week and STAY SAFE!

Blessings,
Bernie B
