I Owe You One

Tonight I'm posting another card, but this one will be added to two challenges.  This site, coffee loving cardmakers blog I just ran across this week. What a fun Blog. I will also be linking this over at Mojo Monday Sketch Challenge 537. A great sketch to turn into a coffee themed card.

I used all MFT products except the Stitched Circle which is by SU. The MFT products were Stitched Rectangles, Cup of Love Stamp, Mini Cafe' All Day Die-namics, and Distressed Patterns.

I'm going to link these cards and then off to bed for me. I apologize for the color of the photo. It was taken at night with not the best lighting available.

Congratulations

Tonight I'm here posting a card that will be linking to the Paper Players sketch challenge #492. I'm just getting it in under just the wire, but the week has been busy. I got started doing blinds, woodwork, and reorganizing. Making cards is so, so much more fun!

We just had a neighbor buy a home out of state and I decided to use this as a New Home card. She's quite a gardener and I felt the flowers were appropriate. I started with an A2 card base of Neenah Solar White 110#, added an inner panel of the same paper,  and embossed it with Dotted EF. The flowers are from Altenews Spophisicated Wreath stamp set with coordinating dies and I used Altenews color cubes to layer the flowers. The MFT's Stitched Rectangle Frames die-namics was used to create a frame for the flowers and I used one MFT Essential Sentiments.

Congratulations

Tonight I'm posting a card that I made for my daughter and husband who just purchased a new home. My inspiration came from a gal that is on the MFT Design Team. What drew me to the card was the Black and White Birdhouse.  Their new home is the same color combination!

The products I choose were the MFT Birds of a Feather Card Kit, MFT Essential Sentiments, MFT Stitched Sentiment Strips. I used the paper from the kit for the bird, flowers, and birdhouse. I embossed the front of the birdhouse with a SU Wood Texture EF, which I believe is retired. The base of the card Neenah 110# and the Black and White paper is by SU Botanical Butterfly DSP.

I'll be posting this over at Splitcoast Stampers tonight. I have been negligent to visit that site and I'm determined to do it much more frequently. So many great challenges and techniques.

Masculine Happy Birthday

Hi everyone! I'm back this evening with another masculine birthday card. This one is for another SIL whose birthday is in May. I was looking through some Card Sketch challenges several days ago and came across this one on the Try Stamping on Tuesdays site. I knew it was a perfect layout for the masculine card I was planning.

                                                             

                                                               
                                                         


I have been using this SU Sailing Home Bundle for the men in our family. At some point, I plan to "feminize" it. We'll see how that goes!

I had a small piece of the matching DSP left to use on the card base. I paired the paper with SU Balmy Blue and Night of Navy and used a sentiment from MFT Essential Sentiments.

That's all for tonight. Have a wonderful Tuesday. We will be getting more rain for the next several days here in Clayton, NC, but the day temperatures will be in the 70's. I can live with that :}

Life Happens...

Today I played along with the Freshly Mader Sketches 435 challenge. I had on my list to make several coffee-related theme cards. This sketch seemed perfect.

                                         

I used quite a few MFT products on this card. The Mini Cafe All Day with matching die-namics, the sentiment from Cup of Love,  Skinny Strips Die-namics for the strips and sentiment, and A2 Rectangle STAX Set2 Die-namics. The EF is by SU and SU papers. I triple cut the coffee cup and top and used dimensionals to attach it to the card.

Happy Birthday

I'm just finished up my last Birthday card for the month of April, now on to the month of May! This is for my DIL. I took some elements from another card I made using Altenews Floral Wreath Card Kit with matching dies. This set is very easy to line up and cut out the images. I'm sure 

it will be used often throughout the year.

The paper base is Neenah Solar White 110#, SU Roco Rose, Cube ink from Altenew -Forest Glade, and Evergreen. The dienamics I used are SU Framelits- Oval Collection(ret.), MFT Fishtail Trio Die-namics, SU Brick & Mortar 3D folder.

                                     

That is it for today. I need to go wash some windows and woodwork. Of course, it's not as much fun as creating, but it needs to be done.

Happy Birthday To You

I'm here today posting a card that I made for my grandson whose birthday is coming up shortly. I really enjoy using SU's Sailing Home stamp with matching dies for the men in my life. Unfortunately, I have very little of the coordinating paper, but I'm sure I will find a way to use this set without it.

The paper for the base is Neenah Solar White110#. I used a retired Gray for layer #1 and embossed it with the SU Subtles Dienamics EF, my favorite, by the way. Layer #2 is the coordinating paper. My sentiment is from MFT "Bitty Birthday Wishes" stamped on MFT Fishtail Flag Tri Die-namics and embossed with Fine Black Embossing powder by GinaK. The ships were stamped with Hero Arts Black Ink.

Hooray! It's Your Day

Today's post is a birthday card that I made for my Grandaughter, Annabelle's 5th birthday today. I used one of the greetings from the MFT Stamp "LJD Birthday Greetings". I'm happy the way it came together. I had several different layouts and several different color combinations, but this one won out. I hand-delivered it today under the Social Distancing directives. It was nice to be able to see her, her Mom, and 2 brothers even though we couldn't hug each other.😢

The solid paper is SU Highland Heather and the check paper which is retired matched, Highland Heather. The 5 was cut on my Cricut Explore Air using a pale green glitter paper that I have had for quite a while. The base of the card is Neenah Solar White#110 lb.

The inside I finished off with a sentiment from the MFT Stamp, "Big Birthday Sentiments". The first thing Annabelle noticed was that there 5 candles. It put a smile on her face and mine!

Happy Mothers Day

I recently created this Mother's Day Card using the Altenew Build-A-Flower Fuschia. I had some difficulty lining up the layers, but I persevered. The flowers are still not perfect, but I feel someone would enjoy it. Unfortunately,  I didn't take a picture of the Scripture that I stamped on the inside, Proverbs 31:28.

The Frame Paper is by SU-Highland Heather, The base of the card and the insert are Neenah Solar White #110. The flowers were inked with Altenew Ink Cubes and cut with the matching dies that came with the kit. All of the products used will be listed on the sidebar of the post.

Birthday Boy

I made this fairly simple card for my little grandson Asher whose birthday is tomorrow. I will be hand delivering it so we can Social Distance with his Mom, Dad, and his siblings. It's always hard to do this when I just want to pick him and his siblings up and give them plenty of kisses. Hopefully, we will soon be able to do that.

I chose SU Pool Party, Neenah Solar White #110, and SU Daffodil Delight for the sentiment strip. MFT Bitty Birthday Wishes. The Bear and Balloons were colored with my Prismacolor pencils. The remainder of the products I used will be in the Labels section on the right of the post. I just find that more convenient for me.
