Guy Happy Birthday

I had a chance to work on a card today after doing some sorting and organizing of my paper crafting accumulation. Unfortunately, I still have quite a bit to still do.But I degrees... Onto the card.

This sketch intrigued me by Paper Craft Crew and I had several designs rolling around in my head. Since I always need guy cards, I decided on the SU True Gentleman DSP as the background paper. With the help of my Cricut Explore Air and Design Space, I was able to cut a pipe to adhere to the card for extra interest and follow the sketches design.

Products Used:
SU True Gentleman DSP, Early Espresso,Very Vanilla
SU Chocolate Chip Ink

Cricut Design Studio/ Billionare image

That's about it for tonight. I hope you have a great Monday and are able to do something you LOVE!

Friendship

Today I was able to create a card for the The Paper Players PP381 challenge. I looked over some of my older stamps and came across this older PTI Quilter's Sampler Set. I knew immediately it would be perfect for the challenge.  It was fairly simple to put together, but the hardest part for me was the layout.  I looked through some of the sketches by Julee Tilman and was happy to find one that I felt fit the stamps and sentiments.

The products used:
PTI Quilter's Sampler Set (2008)
Night of Navy, Tranquil Tide card stock
SU Night of Navy ink
True Gentleman DSP
SU Stitched Shapes Framelits
Sketch: MOJO #433
Stripe embossing folder
Buttons from my stash. Not exactly a match, but I think they work, although they don't look as olive as they do in the picture.

That's about it for tonight. Hopefully, I will have a chance to work on another card tomorrow, but I think house cleaning might get in the way. ;} Have a wonderful day tomorrow and I hope you get a chance to do something you love!

Thank You

I had a chance to get inky this rainy afternoon. and created a card to link to Freshly Made Sketches using their sketch, and Just Us Girls colors. By the way, this is the first time I have linked to the Just Us Girls site, but will not be the last.

Products Used:
Crumb Cake, Basic Gray,Bermuda Bay, and Rich Razzelberry SU inks
Totally Trees and Endless Thanks SU Stamp sets
Sizzix Embossing Folder,SU Sliver Metallic Thread,The Paper Studio Enamel Turquoise Stickers

I really chided myself that I hadn't used the Totally Trees only I few times. I was perusing Pintrest and saw so many beautiful cards created using this set. By the looks of my stamps in Endless Thanks, it seems I haven't used that set at all! So sad...

That's about it for tonight. My oldest daughter will be joining us for dinner so I better skedaddle. Have a wonderful weekend and go do something you LOVE!

You all need to go over to the blog and check out the other ladies that were chosen. Congratulations ladies all your cards were beautiful. The HEADLINERS card for the week is just gorgeous. Surely worthy of the honor.

Why not go over to the blog tomorrow for a brand new challenge. I know that the challenges always rev up my creative juices. Have a great weekend and go do something you LOVE!

Epic Celebrations Birthday card

I'm back again today posting a card that I will be linking to The Paper Players and Paper Craft Crew Challenge.

I just received my Epic Celebrations (SAB) stamp set and wanted to start with the sneakers image. The papers are from SU, Real Red, Whisper White, and Crumb Cake. I colored the sneaker and the shoe laces with Stampin' Write markers( Real Red & Crumb Cake). The sentiment was inked with Memento Black and cut from a die from the retired Circle Card Thinlits.  On the red  layer  I used the sneaker image inked with Versa Mark ink then cut out with a circle die and the large circle from Stitched Shapes Framelits.

I've been crafting almost all day and need to clean up my "mess" before I start dinner in about an hour. Of course, I just as soon stay here at my stamping desk, but my hubby does like to eat!

I hope you have a wonderful evening and are going to do something you love. See you back in a couple of days.

New Card Class Projects

Today I'm posting the 4 cards that I made at a newly formed SU Card Class. A neighbor of mine just became a demonstrator with Stampin' Up! and graciously decided to hold monthly Card Classes here in our community. YEAH!

Our first meet up was last evening. All of us were new to each other, but crafting brought us together for a fun, creative, laugh filled evening. Four of us attended, 3 with prior card making experience. Linda, who had not made cards before, did a terrific job with hers looking like a seasoned card maker.
Thanks Dianna Banks taking on the challenge as a new demo and offering beautiful card samples for us to recreate.

This card was my spin on Dianna's sample card. I had some difficulty with some of the elements and had to scrap her design by finishing it today and using an older Paper Pumpkin sentiment.

Birthday Card/ Delight yourself in the Lord

I'm posting another birthday card today, because who doesn't need birthday cards? It seems if I don't continue making them I don't have any when I need one. This card today will be linked to VivaLa Verve February Sketch challenge and Seize the Birthday. I've had these papers picked out for almost a week and hadn't used them. I was waiting for the right layout. Then when I saw the Verve challenge, I knew that was the project to use them on.

Card inside

The papers are all retired, I believe. I used a SU 2 1/2 inch punch, a retired embossing folder, and scallop die. The sentiment on the circle on the front is from the Verve stamp set, Scripture Medley 1. An SU set, Bring on the Cake were used to complete the inside. I enjoy using scripture stamps on cards, especially for family and friends. I feel the Word of God is always appropriate and in due season.

That's it again for today. Have a wonderful weekend and as always, go do something you love!

Happy Birthday

Today I'm linking this birthday card to Freshly Made Sketches#323 and  Seize the Birthday with Toppings (candles).

I pulled out SU Party Animal DSP and the Sassy Salutations with matching SU card stock .The oval was cut with the SU Stitched Shapes Framelits. It did come together pretty quickly and the sketch will probably be one I'll use again in the future.

That's it for today. Have a wonderful Thursday and go do something you love!

Happy Birthday Son

Today's card is one that I will be linking to Paper Craft Crews card sketch challenge #278. Since I always need birthday cards, this is for one of my sons who's birthday is in early March. I decided on I usin the True Gentleman DSP with coordinating solid SU Card Stock  again. I really like this suite and can see myself using it for all the men in my family.

The sentiment is from one of my Paper Pumpkin Kits and the button is from my stash layered on the navy embossed circle. I just added some older twine from SU to give it more interest.

I'm working on another 2 birthday cards today. I have a daughter and granddaughter who have birthdays at the end of the month, so I really need to get them done now. If I don't, I'll be scrambling. Do you ever run into that scenario?

Have a great day and go do something you love!

Feel Better

Back again today with another card. This one was made for a friend out West who just had some surgery.  I hope it cheers her up a bit.

I'm getting in right under the wire for the Freshly Made Sketches Challenge, but I thought clean -lined and fresh was a great way to go for this card. I was going through my stamp sets and came across the Sassy Salutations (ret) and fell in love with the font all over again. I'm not sure why I hadn't used it more. The flower is from Happy Watercolor, another pretty stamp set. The paper is retired and the Pretty in Pink Stampin'write marker also. I used the "swoosh" stamp from Work of Art (ret) in Blushing Bride. By the way, another stamp set I really like and probably won't get rid of anytime soon.

That's it for today. Have a wonderful weekend and as always, go do something you love!

Looking Sharp

Today I worked on another birthday card using the True Gentleman DSP , Truly Tailored Stamp Set, and the Tailored Tag Punch. This card is for my oldest grandson who will be turning 16 next week. It's so hard to believe he's this age, driving, and in a few years graduating HS. Time certainly goes by quickly.

Inside sentiment from same stamp set
I did use an old embossing folder on the Tranquil Tide panel, Bitty Banners for Crushed Curry Banner which I cut in half and attached with glue dots and added dimensionals onto the back. The card base is Tranquil Tide, Night of Navy inner panel and Night of Navy ink was used for the sentiments.

Have a wonderful weekend and as always, Go Do Something You Love!

Sorry I missed your birthday

I needed a quick Birthday card for a friends birthday I missed. This was the first chance I have gotten to work with the new SU True Gentleman DSP. I just love the colors and designs on this paper. They actually are some of my favorite color combos.

The stamps are from an unknown manufacture, papers are Stampin' Up! Crumb Cake, Night of Navy, and Tranquil Tide. I also used Very Vanilla card stock for the base of the card.
and Chocolate Chip ink. The button is just one I had in my stash that was already threaded. Hooray! I did use the new Taylored Tag punch, which is such a great addition to my punch selection. Hopefully, SU will come out with some new stamps that will accommodate this punch.

Inside of Card
That's about it. I'm having family over for dinner, so I better get that started. Have a great evening and enjoy something you love.

Live Simply,
Bernadette

I had second thoughts about the card above and decided to change the card base to the navy. I like it much better. What do think?

1000 Piece Puzzle

It is a beautiful puzzle, but we probably will NOT do one again. The 500 pc. ones are much more relaxing. Heres hoping you all have a great...
