Masculine Birthday Card/ MOJO Monday435

Honestly, I am doing the HAPPY DANCE with the posting of this card!

Last week was one of those, I'm glad it's over, type of weeks.  My husband and I both came down with the awful stomach virus. UGH! My symptoms started late Sunday night and it was full blown by early Monday morning. I couldn't eat for 3 days and I think I sleep 48 hours total. I had no energy and no appetite. I had to get myself a little together on Wednesday. A couple had requested a house showing. I pushed through and got things straightened up for that to happen.

By Wednesday evening Steve was in the throws of it, literally. He was feeling somewhat better on Saturday, which was a good thing. We had a OPEN HOUSE scheduled from 12 until 3 that day and we did manage to get things in order for the showing. Sunday was our usual day involved with our church. We came home on Sunday evening very thankful that the Lord got us through the week.

Saying all that, I didn't have one bit of mojo in me to want create anything. I certainly had ideas floating around in my head, but that's where they stayed. I tried to play around with stamps and paper on Monday, but that ended with LOTS of paper scraps in my trash bin. Today I was determined to use the MOJO435 sketch and get a masculine card made. Eureka, I did it!!!

I did not make the panels as wide or layer them.  The background paper was what I desired to showcase. This is the retired SU DSP, Birthday Bash and happens to my all time favorite as far as birthday paper. Believe me, I use it sparingly.

That's about it for today's post. Sorry it was a little wordy. I hope you had a wonderful Wednesday so  far and were able to do something CRAFTY!

Crafty Hugs,
Bernie Bee

I love the paper you chose! ToTo me, it resembles books on a bookcase!

Your card really pops with all the color. Love the button embellishment and the little strip of color on the inside. Very cool idea.

Thanks Mimi. I hadn't looked at the paper looking like books. That is great. I'll never look at paper the same again!

Thank you Deb for leaving a comment. I was a little unsure of the button only because it wasn't quite the same orange. I appreciate the encouragement.
