Do Not Give Up

Good Morning! I can't believe the weekend is already upon us. The days just have flown by. I did get a few hours to play yesterday. Well, maybe more then a few. (smile)
I was able play and get familiar with some new techniques and with some new products. I'm really trying to stretch my creativity. Hopefully, I'll be sharing some "new" things in the future.

Today's card is being posted in two challenges, DS no.167 and Word Art Wednesday

I rounded all the corners of my card, but I'm not that happy with it. I really feel sticking to Jen's sketch would have been the better way to go. Oh well, create and learn.

Speaking of the rounded corner. I have found that when working with the Punch Corner by Project Life,  turning the punch upside down and centering it worked better for me. I never was able to get a clean rounded corner by using the guide.

Although the color can't be seen in this photo, the Pistachio Pudding used for the leaves and center of the flower was picked up out of the small dots paper. I hesitated to use it, but a darker green was just not working.

That's about it for today.  Thanks for stopping by. I hope you have a wonderful weekend and are able to do something CRAFTY my friends!
Hugs, Bernadette

Fall Card

No, this is not the Fall card. My husband Steve and I went to LA this past weekend to celebrate his birthday. This was taken at the La Brea Tar Pits facility. If you ever get a chance to come to CA, put this on your places to visit. A very interesting and educational.

Now on to the card. I did get home mid afternoon and had a chance to play along with the new MOJO361 sketch. I did very little stamping on this. Just the sentiment. The leaves are a non-SU product. Although, I did emboss them in the SU Woodgrain EF before adding them to the card.

That's it for today. I hope you get to do something CRAFTY  today, my friends!

Hugs,
Bernadette

Wondrous Wreath Fall Card

Stamped inside using For All Things stamp
Today I am posting a card I created using the beautiful Wonderous Wreath stamp with coordinating framelits. (15% off if you buy the bundle) and an older Sweet Sketch Sunday Sketch (#206) This stamp set is a showcased as a Christmas stamp in the New Holiday 2014-2015 Catalog, but who doesn't love wreaths for any season of the year?

I chose to use it for a fall inspired card using Pistachio Pudding as my main color. I really love the softness of this color and combining it with Mossy Meadow and Tangelo Twist gave it some Fall brightness.

Make it a great Holiday Monday and try to get into your craft room and do something CRAFTY my friends.

Hugs,
Bernadette
