Joy

Today is another double challenge card using the MOJO#359 sketch of the week and a scriptural inspiration stamp for Word Art Wednesday.

I used Lost Lagoon, which I love, paired with Daffodil Delight, and stamped the sentiment and flowers with the Lost Lagoon ink. Lost Lagoon is one of my favorite new blues and I always seem to gravitate towards using it.

Coloring the pearls on this card was something I hadn't tried before. Using the Daffodil Delight Blendability Marker to coordinate them was so easy. I certainly will be doing that more often.

Have a great weekend and stay CRAFTY my friends!

Sneak Peek #3

Sneak Peek #3

A quick post today using 2 more stamps from the "For All Things" stamp set available August 28th.

I CASEd this card from the Stampin' Up! Stampin' Success Sept/Oct Magazine which is available to Demonstrstors every other month.  I changed the colors up a bit and the stamp, but it the layout is the same.

The splotches were added using a stamp that came with a Paper Pumpkin project. I used the Stampin' Distress Tool around the main image piece, rather then tear the paper the way the sample showed.

Have a wonderful and CRAFTY day my friends!

Sneak Peek Day #2

As I mentioned yesterday, I have a project , not only using the NEW Gift Box Punch Board, but a new stamp set and punch.
I cut an 8x8 piece of Blackberry Bliss CS and followed the directions on the board to produce this 2.5x 2.5 x 2.5 Box. I used  Glue Dots on the inside flaps (top corners only) and to keep the box closed at the top.

The completed box

This is the completed box using the NEW stamp set, For All Things and Cheerful Tags (the to/from is from that set.) The punch is also a NEWNote Tag Punch , which not only coordinates with the Cheerful Tags stamp, but another stamp set as well.

The punched tag measures, 1 1/2" x 2 3/16" and is a perfect size for labeling a gift. I really love this little tag and can see myself using it often, but I do need to buy a smaller hole punch. The one I used was a little overkill!

The acorns from For All Things set, were colored with Blackberry Bliss and Hello Honey ink using a dry Aqua Painter applied directly to the image.  I don't own the new In Color Stampin' Write Markers, so I had to improvise.

To add more color to the box, I cut a 1 1/2" strip of paper 12" long and wrapped it around the perimeter of the box overlapping and cutting the excess.

I will be posting cards tomorrow and Friday using the For All Things set. I hope you stop buy a take a look and as always, I would love to have you drop by with a comment or two.

Stay  CRAFTY MY FRIENDS!

Sneak Peek!

Good Morning Blog friends! I hope your weekend was filled with all good things and a time to be CRAFTY.

I didn't do any crafting on Saturday and only a little on Sunday. We attended the Greg Laurie, S Cal Harvest event on Friday evening in Anaheim,CA. What a blessing, not only the crowd, the music, but the message. This was their 25th. year holding this event. Amazing...
Okay, enough of the chit chat and on with the sneak peak.

The Gift Box Punch Board
Anyone who knows me, will tell you, I love gadgets and tools, and I'm loving this one.

On the RIGHT is an extension arm for larger projects and on the LEFT, is the built in SCORING TOOL. All the box sizes with scoring is on the board just like the Envelope Punch board.

You are able to make 15 different size boxes, quickly and easily. My favorite feature: you can make 6 boxes using a 8 1/2"x 11"piece of card stock cut at 6x6, 7x7, 8x8 for various sizes.

The "bubble" at the top puts slits in your box to hold it together, which is a handy addition if you don't want to use a ribbon or glue dots to secure it closed.

I found that I preferred gluing the inside flaps. It not only made more  room inside the box, but I felt it was sturdier.

The photo above is one of the largest box and smallest.
They were made using the 12x12 Kraft Paper CS(#133674)

Tomorrows post SNEAK PEEK
It will be all "gussied up" using a NEW stamp set and punch.  I hope you stop by again on Tuesday.

1000 Piece Puzzle

It is a beautiful puzzle, but we probably will NOT do one again. The 500 pc. ones are much more relaxing. Heres hoping you all have a great...
