Double Challenge Card

Today I am posting a card that I will be uploading to two challenges,  Mojo#358 and Word Art Wednesday.

I just received the Flower Patch Stamp set with the matching die, which I love. (You can buy this stamp in a bundle and save 15%. ) I haven't worked with it very much yet, but I will be.

The flower was stamped with the Daffodil Delight Stampin' Write maker brushed over the flowers. It seemed to give it a watercolor look, which I liked.

For some unknown reason, I have NO Daffodil Delight ink pad and have only one sheet of the paper left. It must not have been on my reorder list and I forgot to reorder. Oh wait a minute, that list is in my head. Need I say more!!!

Even though the color in the patterned paper was Old Olive, I chose to use the Mossy Meadow as an accent color. It really is one of my favorite greens and went well with the paper.

I have found using a padded surface with the photopolymer stamps really gives a crisp, even image. I use the back side of my Stampin' Pierce Pad (126199).

Sweet Birthday

 A DS#117 sketch

Hello! Today I'm posting a Birthday card design that I have been working on for several days. This is my 3rd. attempt to put together a card for my sweet GD, Esther who will be 7 this weekend. Time was of the essence!

I would have a concept in mind, execute it, but the first two just didn't "speak" to me. So back to the drawing board for the third try. This was my final choice. What do you think?

*The Icecream stamp /dies are non Stampin'Up!*

Well, that's about it for the today. I hope you will have a chance to do something CRAFTY and drop by to leave your comments. I would love to hear from you.

Hugs, Bernadette

Colorful Happy Birthday

Happy Monday!
I hope you had a blessed and CREATIVE  weekend.

Mine was relaxing and the weather here in North County was just beautiful. After living here for 1 1/2 years, I'm finally understanding why people choose to move to Southern California. I feel truly blessed!

For my creative escape for the weekend, I chose a sketch by Jen Shults, DS#163. It was such a great sketch to work with.

I really wanted to work with this pattern and color combo, but it wasn't easy for me. Although, I love each color on it's own, combining them was a challenge, but the more I look at it, the more I like it.

Inside view
Make it a great day today and stay CREATIVE my friends!

Hugs, Bernadette
