Friend Card

Today I am posting a card that I have created using a MOJO338 sketch.

I was in need of a card for a dear friend who has been part of my life for over 56 years. She has been going through some difficult times and I wanted a special card to send along to her.

Oops!
I noticed after I had finished laying down the leaves and flowers, that perhaps I should have added one more set of leaves. Oh well, it will need to stay as is.
*No, I couldn't leave it, so I went back and added the leaves!

The Open Sea Waterfall Card

My card today is a fun, interactive card that I had never created before. I believe it has been around for at least 7 or 8 years. Gads! I need to get with it and get out of my comfort zone...

Linda over at stampingschool.com encouraged us to try one if we hadn't before. With trepidation,I took her challenge, and created this one.

Although, it took me more time to choose the stamps and colors then actually putting this card together!

Here is a closer look at the layers:

Linda had covered her brads with 1" circles, but since I had earmarked this card for a family members birthday, adding a 2"x4" strip across the back , and only adding sticky strip along the short sides and the bottom, I'm able to slip a check at the back.

SU PRODUCTS USED

Paper: High Tide DSP (132992)
Pacific Point CS, Soft Sky CS, Whisper White CS

Stamps:
The Open Sea(123030)
By the Tide(129120)

Can you sense I'm feeling empowered! ;}

What a fun card this would be to send to the little people in your life.  I'm planning to.

Stay CRAFTY!

A Quick Card

Today's card is using the last of the stamps in the Timeless Talk stamp collection. I used the MOJO337 sketch to jump start my creative, well, mojo!

I decided to keep this real simple without a lot of layers or colors. I wasn't that sure about it after I made it, but I really do like the simplicity of it. How about you?

Timeless Talk $16.95(126607)

Here is a picture of the complete set. I feel it can be used for either a male or female recipient by just changing the color choices and DSP.

Hey there!

Today I decided to use another stamp from the stamp set, Timeless Talk(126607). The sketch above is an older one by Jen over at Deconstructing Jen, DS139.

I had not used the striped side of one of the Watercolor Wonder DSP papers. Honestly, it is not one of my favorite designs from the group, but I think it worked well with not only the design, but the stamp.

Happy Birthday to You!

Today's card uses the Retro Sketch(RS106) challenge to jump start my recent lacking of inspiration in the past several weeks. I used the color combo by colourQ of Basic Black, Lucky Limeade, and Crumb Cake , but did not use the news print paper, so I wasn't able to link that over there.

The Timeless Talk (126607) stamp set was my stamp set of choice. I was gifted this by my Upline, Linda Heller. Thanks again, Linda!

Finished Cards

Just a quick post today. I  need to get ready to go over to the Clubhouse and then do some errands.

Here are the cards I said I would post that I made for my GD, Morgyn. There is a variety of occasions, papers and colors. I will be asking her to send me a list of her desired cards so I can get them out in a few weeks before my upcoming surgery.

The cards are ones I designed, CASEd cards by Mary Fish, and Stampin' Connection.

I looked through the cards that I have made over the past months, and I think I will be able to make some of them into more mailer friendly designs.

By subtracting buttons, layers and dimensionals,
they will be able to be mailed without costing her extra postage.

Well, I'm off to get my day into gear.
Have a great one and do something CRAFTY!

Welcome to the MESS!

NO cards to put up again. Well, I actually have cards, but they are not put together!

As you will see by the pictures I am posting, I'm actually working on cards. They are just not finished.

I hesitated to post these pictures. My craft space is down right embarrassing. I actually had to leave it
this way last night after dinner and just CLOSE the door. I can't work in that MESS!

Maybe some of you can relate. Or is it just me that has almost every stamp set, tool and ink pad out when trying to decide what to create?

I did have a plan eventually. I am making blank cards to send my granddaughter who is in Afghanistan with the Marines. I have been laboring for weeks and weeks on what to send.
She's young and trendy, and well,
I'm "mature" and not so much.

:} :} :}

Plus, I tend to have a difficult time with doing cards without a lot of layers and do dads. You know, sweet and simple, yet striking.

I have labored for weeks and even had several made that are now gracing my trash can.

Since I really wanted to get this goodie package of snacks and cards out to her, I had to CASE cards.
I know that is not a bad thing, but it usually
makes me feel less creative.

But, I'm so thankful for all the wonderful, creative
people that are demos for SU. They are so
free about sharing their talent and made my
creating process so much easier.

I hope to have pictures up by Monday and I
will give credit to where credit is due.

There is the pile of 6 cards to the left,
begging to be "dressed up "

This side of the room is actually not to bad.
Of course, I didn't take a picture of the floor under this station!

Thanks for stopping by and allowing me to ramble. I hope you have a CREATIVE and wonderful day. I'm off to my Woman's Bible Study then to do some errands. Hopefully, I'll get back to the "mess" later today. Yeah, we'll see how that goes...

Hugs, BERNADETTE

Kaleidoscope Calender

Yes, I know it's already March and I'm JUST making a calendar for the new year just now.

I had received a package of 4 of these cute little calenders along with a pretty card stand months ago. I received it from Linda over at stampingschool.com as a gift for the Freebie Friday drawing.

I had all good intentions of making up a few, but you know how that goes. Or is only me who does that?

I put this together today to send to a special young lady and hope she enjoys the colors and forgives me for the lateness of the yearly calender.
