Stampin' Up! meets the Cricut!

Today's project is one of 15 Thank You cards that I made for my daughter, Lauren. She plans on sending these to the folks who gave my grandson birthday gifts. Since his birthday theme was Monkeys and his colors were Orange, this is what I put together for her. I hope she likes them!

I have not used my CRICUT in quite a while and it was so much
fun to cut this cute little guy out. A little time consuming putting all 3 layers together, but I loved the outcome. I know I will be using my
machine more often in the coming months.

Gee, thanks

HAPPY MONDAY!

My card today is using a stamp set I ordered quite awhile ago and have not used
until making this card! Have you had stamps just laying around
in their cute little box all alone and waiting to be inked up?

I don't do it very often, but this particular stamp, Gorgeous Grunge  130517
was intimidating to me. I looked online for samples and
how others incorporated it into their design.

I finally felt comfortable enough to go ahead and
use it after viewing many samples. So here it is. What do you think?
Was I successful in pulling it off?

Make a Wish

I great sketch using MOJO  Monday 327.

Hi there! I'm a little late getting my card up today.
I tried several different stamps and papers before I finally settled on this combo using the new Retrofresh DSP132993. I think
I am loving this as much as I have the Kaleidoscope DSP.  ;}

I'm finding myself becoming very comfortable with vibrant and fresh colors.  I used to lean only towards a softer palette, but now I'm having a difficult time "playing" with those colors. I promise a softer palette of cards next month.

Stampin' Up! has a beautiful paper,Watercolor Wonder DSP 132994
that is calling my name. Daffodil Delight,Smokey Slate,
Tangerine Tango are just a fewthat coordinate with the paper.

So stay tuned and bear with me as I create with this DSP.

Hooray

I am posting a day early today. I have some new product arriving
today from Stampin' Up!'s new Occasions catalog and I'm hoping
to use it either tonight or tomorrow.

I thought I was finished with creating with the Kaleidoscope DSP,
but I guess not.  I saw this sketch Cindy put up on Friday Mashup and it shouted, Kaleidiscope!  So here, yet again, ANOTHER card with that paper.

For the main image I chose to use the "Polaroid" frame. This is only the second card using this technique, and I really love how it looks.

SU does have the ON File (132969, pg18 OC) dies available to get this look, but I have not ordered it yet.  Sad, but true. It is on my WISH List, though!

SU PRODUCTS USED

Paper: Kaleidoscope DSP 132995
Basic Black CS, Whisper White CS,Bermuda Bay CS

Stamp: Geometrical 133161

Ink: StazOn - Jet Black 101406

Triangle Punch 133375
* The Geometrical stamp and Triangle Punch can be bought *
in a bundle at a 15% savings.

Neutrals Candy Dots 130934

Envelope Punch Board  133774

That's about it for today. I'm off to do some much neglected cleaning after  Christmas and New Years, but I 'd rather be stamping!

Trust in the Lord

Today is card that will be entered in the RetroSketch# 96

for some subtle colors is how I interpreted this. Aftrer using the Kaleidscope DSP on 7 cards recently, it was certainly time for a change!

SU PRODUCTS USED:

Paper: Venetian Romance DSP 130144
Very Vanilla CS, Crisp Cantaluope CS
*Calypso Coral CS
*used as the coordinating color

Stamp: Trust God 126702

Ink: Calypso Coral 126983

  Vintage Designer Buttons 129327

Very Vanilla 1/2" Seam Binding Ribbon 102999

Weeeooo!

Here is yet another card using the Kaleidoscope DSP 132995 that was available
starting yesterday in the new Occasions 2014 catalog.

I used the DS132  sketchy Deconstructing Jen, to design this card for a special little guy who is celebrating his first birthday this month.

I used the Envelope Punch Board (133774) to make a matching envelope from the same DSP. The punch board is probably one of those tools that will be on my favorites list for a long time. It is so easy to use and it's not just for envelopes, but gift card holders, boxes, and etc. A great addition to your paper crafting stash if you haven't bought one as of yet. You will not be dissappointed.

SU PRODUCTS USED

Paper: Kaleidoscope DSP 132995
Crushed Curry CS, Shimmery White 101910,
 Bermuda Bay CS
*I used the shimmery White to stamp the emergency truck. I found using the inks and Aqua Painters on this paper, just held up better. The watercolor paper just didn't give a sharp, clear image. I am going to play around a little more with the it in a few weeks. I'll let you know how it goes.

Stamp: You're My Hero130309

Ink: Bermuda Bay, Crushed Curry StazOn Black Ink

2 1/2" Circle Punch 120906

Non-SU embossing folder

Whisper White Bakers Twine 124262

Aqua Painters 103954

Neutral Candy Dots 130924,

Regals Buttons 130029
