Blue, Blue, Blue Birthday!

No, it's not my birthday and I'm certainly not BLUE about it . I just created theses three cards for my Card Class tomorrow, each one being a different shade of SU Blue.

The above card I CASED from the 2012-2013 catalog on page 190. I loved it the first time that I saw it there and have wanted  to make it since July. All the colors are the same and so is the general embellishments, except I used a punch and rhinestones.

Paper - Baja Breeze #111352, Certainly Celery #105125
Rose Red #102544, Whisper White #100730, Floral District #126919
Chevron Folder #127749
Apothecary Accents Framelits #127003
Itty Bitty Shapes Punch Pack #118309

Paper Piercing Tool #126189
Stampin' Pierce Mat #126199
Stamp Set Bring on the Cake #121958
Stampin' Dimensionals #104430

I wanted to incorporate the Top Note die on a project and created this card using it.  I plan on showing at least one project a week using this die. It is just so versatile.

Penguin Christmas Card

My stamping girls are in love with this cute little card  that was in the Stampin' Up! 2012-2013 Catalog on page 181. The project incorporated the Simply Scored Scoring Tool #12334.

What a great product this is. I owned anther scoring board for about 4 years and honestly can say, this is far superior. I love that there are 1/8" scoring increments, it sits on a slight angle, comes with a dual sided stylus, and 3 place markers. You can add 6 more additional markers #125625 and even get a second stylus #125624 for a nominal price. Doing projects like this one, scoring boxes, cards, rosettes, and more are going to be a breeze. There is also a Simply Scored Diagonal Plate #125586 that you can add which allows you to create various envelopes or create unique score designs. What more can a girl ask for!

The stamp set used on this card is, No Peeking #126290 wood, #126292 clear, and various Stampin' Up! papers and inks. If you would like more information on the papers and inks used, you can contact by email.

In the above video, all the measurements are given to complete this sweet little card. What child would not love to receive this? I think it would be a keeper. ENJOY!

Will it Embellish?

Masculine Birthday 2

I guess I'm on a roll with masculine Birthday cards! This one is fairly simple and came together quickly. I used the card design from over at Linda Heller's Stamping School. This is the second time I used this interesting fold. I just ordered the International Bazaar DSP paper #126920, and I'm really liking the colors and patterns of this DPS and can see how I will be using this for more masculine cards. The card base is Crumbcake #120953; Expresso Brown #119686; Lucky Limeade #122926; and Naturals White #102316 finish it off. I used one of the Apothecary Accent Framelits #127003 to frame the Friendly Phrases #126151 sentiment. I also decided to use the new
Chevron Folder #127749 to add more interest to this somewhat plain card.

Have a wonderful and CRAFTY week! BernieB

Scentsational Christmas Tree

This is a card that I made just playing with the Scentsational Seasons  clear #121190. The card is 4x4 and I cased it from a card that I saw on Stampin Connections, although I did change it up. I stamped the sentiment on Whisper White card stock # 100730  instead of on a tag . I also used punched circles  3/4" #119873 and 1" #119868 and a Designer printed brad #122940. The sentiment is from the, More Merry Messages  clear #126402) stamped in Cherry Cobbler  #126966. The paper is from the great little stack, Festival of Prints DPS #126904. Such fun patterns, colors and a handy card makers size of 4 1/2" x 6 1/2", The card base is Cherry Cobbler solid card stock. #119685. I did emboss the image with Scented Stampin' Emboss Powder, Peppermint Stick #127830 and used a Rhinestone Basic Jewel  #119246 for the star center. Using the Framelits Dies and buying it Bundled  #129946 (clear stamp bundle) with the Scentsational Season stamp set, not only made this card go together quickly, but it saves 15% on buying them individually.

Have a great and crafty day! BernieB
