Stampin'Up!

The day has come. I am an Independent Stampin' UP! Demonstrator! I'm so excited for the opportunity to be working with Stampin' Up! product line.

Our lives took a turn in October 2008. Life as we knew it, had us make some difficult decisions. We had been living in Cary, NC for 15 years. Steve was without a job due to huge layoffs by Sony Ericsson. After 6 months of making finding a job a "job", he was offered a contract position in Scottsdale, AZ. A great place to vacation, but to live? We were soon to find out. Steve was off to his new job in February 2009. I stayed behind and got ready to move into our Motor Home. He returned home at the end of February, we packed up the motor home and headed West having no clue what was ahead of us, but God knew.

Well, the 9 month contract has been extended several times , and now we have been in the beautiful Arizona dessert 3 1/2 years. God's provision and His ways are always beyond faithful and sometimes, understanding. We sold our home 2 years ago and bought a larger motor home to live in, but found that living in the dessert in a MH with the temperatures getting to 108 and above in July and August was not the greatest idea! So another decision was made. We bought a small mobile home here in Road Runner Lake Resort last July. As of the end of June, Steve's contract was extended again and it looks like we could be here until the Fall or later.

Why Stampin'Up now? Especially since our time here may coming to an end soon and we will be moving back into our 40 foot MH. Because I fell in love with SU over 4 years ago and becoming part of the Stampin'Up team has been something I've desired to do.

Fast forward to today...I have had the wonderful opportunity to craft to my hearts content these past 3 + years even in the small space of the MH. A girl needs to do what a girl needs to do! Honestly, I think I made more room for my crafts then food! I do have a "craft room" now. Although, it is small and also serves as guest room, it's a designated space with the help of IKEA. One of my favorite places to shop for the home,by the way. I decided that this was the TIME and now is the PLACE . I'm up to the challenge with my ever changing circumstances.

So, I'll press in, enjoy this time teaching others what I love to do and hopefully be able to encourage them that creativity is possible anywhere, and any season of life.

Thanks for stopping by and stayed tuned. Have a wonderful weekend and week and stay CRAFTY! Bernadette
